That's hillarious!!! have you seen the rich kids from the 'village'hanging out on the streets trying to talk like the kids from Peckham. The boys even had bling trainers on!!! ha ha, expect the thing is on closer inspection all the girls had designer labells like Gucci and Prada, whereas the Peckham crew had the knock offs. There's nothing funnier than a soon to be white IT girl' trying to kiss her teeth and say 'you no whaimean innit' as she slurps her chilled bottle of Chardonnay from Daddy's collection. Brilliance.

Dear Louisiana,

"No, but I have heard there is in Dulwich a certain lane not unconnected with certain practices indulged in by a famous footballer".

Surely you are not saying that famous footballers are (cough) "dogging" on Court Lane?

What filth! I suppose Court Lane is filled with riff raf and new money - what should we expect?

Is this the incident when Stanley got his todger out for the doggers? Good for him, I thought, and all he has to do now is tell the tabloids to f**k off and mind their own business. What does he do next? Offers up some ridiculous grovelling public apology saying how terrible and regretful his behaviour was. Made me want to puke. If he thought it was a cool thing to do, why be a complete hypocrite and flaggelate himself in public a couple of days later just because he got caught out?

No no, not Court Lane. Somewhat further up the hill, beyond the toll.

In the name of God Louisiana, do not tantalise me so, now you are talking serious gossip. Many of the parents from my sons class live up there! Please, please do not keep me in suspense! Do you mean that 1970's estate opposite Sydenham Hill train station?

And pray dear cyber chum - how do you know this - you suacey minx!

I remember there being rumours of witchcraft and devil worship in Dulwich/Sydenham woods, but it was probably bo!!ocks. Also, was on the bus with Mrs Keef last year, and heard a very well spoken woman chatting to her friend about the 'dogging' session she'd attended in Dulwich with her husband... We couldn't believe what we were hearing!

    • Hi Sue, they were not local solicitors. Andrea’s was based in Wales and the other firms involved were large nationwide conveyancing companies (rather than conventional high street solicitors). I’m happy to advise clients and buyers privately on what I believe to be their shortcomings but I don’t think doing so in public on the forum would be appropriate, particularly as they are not locally based. My general advice would always be to steer clear of the big conveyancing companies as they are, in my experience, notoriously difficult to contact when the need arises and the case handler is often not a fully qualified solicitor and so issues have to be referred upwards to “technical teams” internally, which was part of the problem in Andrea’s chain. • A slightly vulnerable but hopeful post… Hi everyone, I’m a guy in my mid-thirties who’s recently moved back to London and East Dulwich (I previously lived here for many years before, so I know the area well). But if I’m honest, I’ve found the return a little tough. Most of my close friends have moved out of London to start families — totally understandable — but it’s left me feeling a bit adrift and not quite sure how to make new connections again. Work has taken up a huge chunk of my life in recent years, and I’ve definitely let hobbies, interests and a proper social life fall by the wayside. I feel like I went from a fun social life in my 20’s to suddenly blinking and realising things had gone a bit er…quiet. So, I’m trying to redress the balance a bit — mainly so myself and my partner don’t murder each other 😂, and just to meet some new local faces. I was wondering: is anyone else in a similar boat? And would there be any interest in starting a relaxed, low-key local social group? Could be a casual pub meet, sports, park hangouts, live comedy nights — open to ideas!  I’m happy to do the organising/admin side of things — just wanted to put it out there and see if there’s any appetite. I’ll gauge interest and take it from there.  If you’d prefer not to reply publicly, feel free to drop me a DM.  Cheers all! 👋
    • It's Inner London. You could move somewhere else?
