horrible noise in the plough last night

It's Saturday night so time to meet the chums at the Plough for a pleasant evening's drinking....but no!!

Two blokes, one drum machine and a very loud PA making the most horrible noise...we had to leave!!

Anyone else driven out by the racket??

Dogcat, if It's the volume that bothers you, stay away on the 12th December, as it will probably be rather loud. However, if you like a good tune, that'll be the night for you!

It wasn't so much the volume as the sheer awfulness, if it had been any good the volume would not have mattered. I'm pretty sure I've seen you playing at the plough before and it was very good! I'll try and get there...

Sounds a bit like John Otway who used to (probably still does) bang his head against the mike till it drew blood, before climbing up those steps you use for decorating and then jumping off the top.
