Decent coffee in East Dulwich?

I had a good coffee at The General Store last week. It was an Americano, no milk, ?2. Think they only do takeway cups. Their coffees with milk were more money. What's up with places charging more for coffee with milk? It seems to be a newish trend. But, I think Anderson's have now raised the price of their black coffee to the same for coffee with milk.

I also like the coffee at the cafe/deli in Nunhead that begins with a B, next to the fishmongers.

Unfortunately not. You'll need to head to Peckham (Anderson, General Store, Viva, Cafe 67) or to Nunhead (Dish and Spoon or Bambuni) or Forest Hill (St David). As mentioned above, Toasted is probably the best in ED but all the other places I've mentioned do better coffee.

Haven't tried french house yet, but square mile beans and the the big la marzocco look promising.

Great news, they make excellent coffee!

    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
    • Truly horrific. Being passive or fighting back is what many of us think about by violent theft.
    • What ridiculous waste of money
    • Lots of good primary schools within reach of there. Fairlawn, Goodrich, Ivydale and Horiman. Secondary schools you will definitely get into the Harris Academies or Sydenham Girls or Forest Hill Boys, you might just be on the boundary for the East Dulwich or North Dulwich Charter but it changes every year.
