Are you a colonial type? your views do seem to point towards this

interesting perspective here

http://politicalviolenceataglance.org/2014/07/15/why-hamas-escalated-when-before-they-didnt/

"This pattern concurs with the assertion that the early round of missiles was largely the work of the PFLP or other factions with less firepower and an interest in demonstrating their resistance bonafides. It is not until July 7, after Israel struck a tunnel and killed 7 Hamas militants that Hamas unleashed its long-range arsenal and the overall number of launches jumps to over 80.

In other words, the macabre peeing contests currently taking place is not between Israel and Hamas, nor even Hamas and the PA, but between Hamas and the rest of the resistance camp. "

What he's calling for is genocide.

I guess the limit of info could just as easily be explained by sensitivity to the parents until the full facts are known.

Conspiracy type stuff sounds ludicrous to me, but that Netanyahu would take advantage is no surprise, he's a cynical bastard at the best of times and could only gain from derailing detente between Hamas and Fatah for a unified PA.

He'd have had to say Hamas' presence delegitimised it, in face of the fact that it was the opposite, how much nicer a good ramp of tensions.

Same reason that it didn't make sense that Hamas had done it as they would only lose following the deal.

Rival groups likewise only had something to gain from the deal as Hamas eased its way to pragmatism and ultimately to muddy compromise, portraying themselves as the true inheritors of armed struggle and HAmas as betrayers (just as Hamas had done with Fatah).

Dissidents in Fatah or Hamas always seemed the most likely, and Netanyahu's insistence otherwise reminded me of Aznar's insistence of ETA culpability in the Madrid bombs.

But, according to that article, that is for a purely defence system, not any attack facility. Or do you want to see people hit by rockets?

Whatabout if you see it as a massacre or not.

Whatabout it not getting in the way of day to day business.

Whataboutery covers a lot, can anyone imagine how these people will

feel, knowing people know what is happening, and a decision like this is made

supporting the people targetting your family.

Whatabout international law.

This line taken from the article says it all for me "The residents of Gaza are not innocent, they elected Hamas. The Gazans aren?t hostages; they chose this freely, and must live with the consequences" so just kill them all eh Israel?

http://www.imemc.org/article/68487

israel human rights say international laws being broken.

To call a ceasefire through the media, where no contact was made with Palestine is wrong,

To use the election of Hamas to justify civilians guilt, then refusing to recognise them as a polutical party

when it comes to a ceasefire is wrong.

The link above states what is law, Israels acts are crimes. Interpretation is being twisted to suit,

    • Just a review for Andy. I have now used him for various jobs for 5 years or so. An absolute and complete star. Always goes above and beyond, never cuts a corner, and always prices incredibly fairly. If you need a handyman...he is your man. Could not recommend more highly.
    • Don’t know about cafes but the Victoria and Montpelier pubs always have always encouraged people working during the day.
    • Thank you Saied for the amazing work! I will see you in a few months.
    • If you care about the decline in the swift population please support the lovely Hannah Bourne-Taylor in her campaign to mandate 'swift bricks' in all new properties   From her website: What are swift bricks? Zero maintenance and sustainable, swift bricks are bricks that sit flush to the wall that provide a cavity nesting habitat for swifts and other cavity nesting birds. Surveys show species include House martins, starlings, House sparrows, nuthatch, blue tit, coal tit and wren. Why swift bricks are urgently and uniquely essential Without swift bricks there is no guaranteed nesting habitat for birds reliant on building cavities anywhere in the UK – and there never will be. We are inadvertently destroying their oldcavity nesting sites through renovation, demolition and insulation, while climate mitigation measures mean modern buildings will never provide natural homes for birds. https://hannahbournetaylor.com/ Don't be such a pompous bore. She is doing something to improve the world around us, what does it matter what social class she is from? The despicable Michael Gove offered support then did nothing. The current government, despite supposed concern for the environment, also failed to support the campaign. She took the trouble to write back to me when I asked a question. But carry on poking fun at honourable people while our surroundings decay.
