Loud music near Dulwich Hospital this morning (15th July 2014)

Does anyone know where this is coming from - school's sports day maybe with PA system and music??

Started really loudly just after 8am.

It was coming from the St Olaves playing field behind my house. Suspect it is their sports day. Totally unnecessary noise so early in the day!

Yep, passed it on the way to school just before 9. It is the sports field.

Yeah I could see them out of my window, it was really loud, there were about 4 or 5 people milling about setting up for sports day... Arrogant at 8am!

Thanks, I've put in a call and they've promised to turn it down. Not too concerned about it now but 8am didn't show a lot of consideration for those nearby.

I was thinking similar keyhole.

If it was much earlier/louder that might have been a little different. Builders are allowed to start their loud noises at 8am.

Do people complain about rubbish/recycling collections? Buses? Polices sirens?

Something a little positive on a sunny day and it's the end of civilisation... *sighs*

Its also the Lambeth Country show this weekend... complainers might want to leave town

I don't think it could have been any louder! Personally I hate noise pollution - that was why ear phones were invented - so no one else has to be forced to listen to someone else's choice in music.

Lambeth Show, and a summer fair in Belair Park and open air cinema in Dulwich Park. If the weather stays like this there will also be a lot of parties the park will be wall-to-wall people and barbecues followed by a tidal wave of litter.

Have to say I didn't mind about the sports day music. Later that day I cycled past and they were all having a whale of a time, whereas usually when you pass them doing sports there's not much enthusiasm in evidence. Daytime on a weekday is kind of OK from my point of view.
