Crystal Tips
I was in the Palmerston tonight and I couldn't help noticing a lot of young people in there - very young baby faced kids many of whom can't be 18. They seemed to be enjoying a pint or two. I don't get in there much but it reminded me i had noticed it before, they sit outside earlier in the evening and drift in. Maybe all their IDs were checked, perhaps it was a back from Uni kind of thing but if it was then I really am getting older coz they really were young 'uns. Anyone else notice this or is my judgement a sign of my age?
ruffers
Not seen the individuals of whom you speak but.... as I get older (and I'm in my fifth decade) my perception of the age of a mid/late teens / early twenties person is getting increasingly wonky, (and especially girls).Ah well. Pickle
I was at Liquorice last Wednesday with a group of friends and there was a really large group of young guys came in. We couldn't really pick their age, between us reckoned anything from 17 to 22... and then realised we were probably just getting old, and the fact that we could be their parents (just, and possibly not legally ;-)) scared us!There were loads of them out on LL too, which made me think it might have been an end of school night out. Brendan
Are you in your late 20s early 30s? It is about the age you start to notice the gap between you and the ?next generation? of adults. They are probably all about 19 or 20.
????
I think 30-somethings look like teenagers

Keef
What Brendan said.It was only 12 years ago that I was 18, and felt I was all grown up and cool, and hung out in pubs thinking I was as hardened a drinker as anyone there... Now at 30, I look at the new 18 year olds, and think "was I ever that young"? Scary stuff! That said, if you want to score some gear, they're probably worth talking to! :)-D
HonaloochieB
It's not just coppers, i went pat Buckingham Palace the other day and one of the life guards looked about twelve, little moon-faced fellow. Looked like he'd been in the dressing-up box.Brought on a paroxysm of tutting and head-shaking from your humble correspondent.
eater81
That loathsome new bar, +venture or what ever it is called, also seems to have attracted a crew of young noise makers, regulary making a drunken racket with their tedious behaviour. KalamityKel
Eater do you mean the youngsters who don't actually go inside the establishment but tend to "hang out" out side?
RosieH
Didn't we all go to bars underage? They probably are just back from uni if you've only just noticed them, but even if they're not, I can't begrudge teenagers a little experimentation, after all, how are you going to learn not to drink blue bols and lemonade unless you've spewed it all over the pavement when you're 14? Crystal Tips
I don't begrudge it at all - just seemed so obvious to me - can't remember that happening in Keith's day - that probably does show my age now - and yes Policemen are looking younger - Dr Who looks younger as well - but Brucie just looks the same as ever
