Whats, like , the worst film of all time ?

Recommended Posts

Cliffhanger. Truly appalling acting and an awful story. Stallone is usually a wooden actor, but you could have replaced him with a pine wardrobe in this and it would have improved it.

And that was even though it had the cute woman out of Northern Exposure in it.

No - you can't have Cliffhanger. It has John Lithgow in it who is awesome.

Ditto for Jah's Bruce Willis claims - Alan Rickman rescues Die Hard.

We need something with no redeeming qualities.

That J'Lo/Affleck thing was meant to be pretty terrible. Gigli?

Or do you mean worst in a sort of "depraved" way?

I had the misfortune to watch Lars Von Trier's Antichrist with Willem Defoe and the lovely Charlotte Gainsbourg.

It definitely has a shout for it. Having almost literally died of boredom when i watched the critically lauded Dancer in the Dark I should really have known better.

I thought I was with you on Drive Bob, until i realised I was thinking of Crash*, which whilst not the worst, may qualify for most overrated.

*the one that won all the oscars, rather than the better one based on the inimically wonderful J G Ballard novel ...holly hunter *rubs thighs*

Actually, I think his non-romcoms are worse. I quite liked 50 First Dates and Wedding Singer. I think having Drew Barrymore in both of them probably helped.

Of the movies I've seen lately, 'Green Lantern' was really bad. I really want that 90 mins back.

Crash - got about 30 minutes in. Rubbish!

My alternative suggestion - should you ever see it crop up in the wee hours is "I don't Want To Be Born".

Without giving too much away, the plot centres around a stripper who is cursed after spurning the amorous advances of a dwarf - and thus gives birth to the devil's child. Starring Joan Collins. And I think Don Pleasance was in it too.

yeah, car jackers should have killed sandra bullock at the start and saved everyone suffering.

Terrible paper thin characters and political points made with the subtlelty of a sledgehammer, and made badly too.

Ever so slightly redeemed by a nuance performance by Matt Dillon as grizzled cop.

Sly will always be redeemed for his grizzled cop in Cop Land.

    • Aren't most marxists radical by default...and he was a self proclaimed marxist on his twitter feed for years but deleted it as I suspect it did not sit well at Labour HQ. The big worry for Labour might be that he takes votes away from them (but not enough for him to win a seat) but I suspect they are glad to see the back of him - to say he was a thorn in their side is an understatement and his loss of the leadership of the council was clearly part of the purge Labour has been embarking on to rid itself of some of the far-left lunatic fringe that have blighted them for so long. The Greens of course are willingly take any disaffected far-left Labour rejects in the same way Reform are hovvering up the lunatic elements of the Tories. The fact he went in with both barrels on Labour is hardly surprisingly but wonderfully hypocritical of someone who thought they were about to lead a Labour council. My how politicians flip-flop to suit their own personal agenda. How long before he falls out with the Greens...where to then? Why do I think he had an affiliation with the Greens before he became a Labour councillor? Or did I imagine that?
    • It’s a shame that that topic is closed/archived for further replies.  It sounds like a great and helpful business. I’d love to see some of the pictures that had been posted.

    • Many of you will recall my previous posts seeking recommendation of local eateries for a family meal. Having vegetarians, those who cannot take dairy products or  are gluten intolerant  we  were looking at a menu which could accommodate everyone's requirements. Having been to Love Dulwich twice in t he past for lunch, we went again and discovered that we could reserve for 10 people (would have been 12 ). I am pleased to say Love Dulwich did not disappoint - a wide choice, beautifully cooked and presented, adults and kids loved the food. We booked for 7 pm and were surprised at the number of people already dining there, with several more coming through the evening. Service was good and coped well with multiple orders. Well recommended.
