Love this quote from Torres:

?The white shirt of Madrid is very famous and for a lot of players their goal is to one day play for Madrid. The white shirt is a huge privilege for players, but for me the biggest privilege in Europe is the red shirt of Liverpool."

This is the sort of qoute that brings a smile to my face, how many high profile players have made similar statements over the years only to move on shortly afterwards. Loyalty from players? Lets be honest/realistic, it doesn't exist.

I would be up for that - what date is it?

Bloody hell, Harry Redknapp is not going to be happy when he sees how Tom Huddlestone is keeping himself trim (on left of photo) - whilst on holiday with Aaron Lennon (on right). How on earth can a professional footballer develop a gut that big only 4 weeks since the season finished!

Huddlestone has always carried quite a bit of timber but it also might have something to do with his diet, spot the bag of McDonalds he's got in his right hand. And I think you'll find that's Dulwich Hamlet pink Quidsey, whilst Lennon is either playing paper, scissors stone or predicting the result in the next match against West Ham.

No more Carlos at OT. It's a shame but time to ring the changes with the (now) ?100M or so to spend. I'm sure the Scousers will make more of it than it deserves but he is easily replaceable and a bit more youth would be a great way to go.

We also need another Argie otherwise we'll have no reason to chant "Argentina"! :))

What about Heinze or Veron, they'd feel right at home at Traford Industrial Park.

Ah so Tevez is on his way out of Old Trafford ... a headless bull whose Country was sang lounder than that of George Best and Bobby Charlton, which tells you everything you need to know Atila

I think Man U have more to worry about than replacing Tevez such as getting a decent midfield

Ah, the same old nonsensical gibberish. I find myself, not for the first time, wondering what you are on about Matt. You have moments of such interesting lucidity and then you slip into the mire of jibes and childish name calling. I blame the Stella.

Awwwwww SP, I didn't know you cared. As for being a Spurs fan it could be worse, I could wake up one morning thinking I've woken after a bad dream only to find that I come from Coventry but support Man Ure.

Haha, no his prized asset is Liverpool F.C. - a cash cow if run properly, and a big part of that is having a winning team which means player signatures..

Sandperson it seems to me that more often than not someone has a jibe about United and then you respond with a personal insult - this latest one about a Turkish Cypriot being from a Greek island seems designed to provoke another war of words. If someone has a go about Liverpool then I try and defend it, maybe if I have a weak argument (which is not often) then I will turn the tables on other person's club (i.e. banter). Come on Sandperson you are better than that keep it clean!

    • Thanks all, our hope was (despite the diminishing estate) he would get on with it.  Progress is glacial, it's been two years since probate was granted, that's two cold and damp winters with no heating, and not surprisingly a pipe burst. He's blames the issues on the estate agent, who separately had a dispute with him, he had a wobbly when one of the beneficiaries spoke to the estate agent.  Separately he said it was the family's fault for letting the property get into a poor condition.  It was dated, but certainly not in poor condition. There are two five star reviews on Google, and five one star: ** WARNING** This solicitor firm has to be one of the worst I have encountered. The solicitor is prehistoric in his practices and will carry out work at his own snails pace, the fax machine he uses gets turned off at 2 pm and its near impossible to get him on the phone. STAY AWAY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, check the solicitors ombudsman, this firm has previous bad practice recorded.   Disgusting under no circumstances use this solicitor. For over 10 years he has not carried out the terms of a Will he has not re-invested money but has retained it.  He writes letters which are pure "Flannel" excuses for doing nothing.  You have been warned   shocking experience, delayed the whole process, told other side solicitors to not contact him as he feels pressured etc. never use.   Not fit for 21st century. No website, no email address, no electronic transfer. Very slow, very little communication.   Was not a pleasant experience dealing with this firm
    • If you mean the one outside the church going towards Peckham, it still had the closed sign on it this morning, but as there are no road works there, I'm sure some of the drivers will stop there on request.  The stop outside the chippy coming from Peckham is closed as there are road works in front of it.  The 4 way traffic lights are in operation.., causing a lot of congestion.
    • We found a recommendation for Geek Electrics on a here after we wanted to have a electrical inspection of a property we are buying. From the very beginning through to the end Bob was responsive, helpful and demonstrated his knowledge. He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with.
