I just have not got a clue who will win the Premiership. Its too difficult this year. Agree with MP that if Chelsea had Hiddink thay would be big favourities.

Don't fancy MU this year. Just think that last year there 13 games without conceding a goal won it for them. Loss of Tevez will be important not just Ronaldo.

Liverpool I think could win it if they continued their tactics from the last 1/3 of last season but you don't know what Rafa is going to do next.

Arsenal, I suspect they will do well if they can secure a top striker to replace Adebayor before the end of season, but have not seen them linked to anyone and that concerns me.

I think Arshavin will be the player of the season and the team with the best player is often not far off.

I'm drifting towards betting on Arsenal.

Hey - I don't know this Mick Mac guy but he really knows his football....does he not.....

Ha ha, so true.

Some great goals yesterday. Future England stalwart Noble with a cracker too!!

Hats off to Wigan, had to feel sorry for Hull though a fair result ultimately.

Man City rode their luck a bit, I think they could end up being the new Keegan's Newcastle.

Is there an adjective for that btw?

Man City more likely to be the new Chelsea than Newcastle

Mark Hughes has certainly displayed a lot of arrogance this summer - money talks!

I almost choked on my cornflakes when reading that Alex Ferguson, no doubt since Ronaldo's departure, has quickly jumped back onto his high horse with this horse shit - http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/120886/Fergie-takes-on-the-cheats

Or the fact that Spuds and Celtic fans are required to have a sense of humour because of the teams they support.

Well, what a turn up. Didn't see the Liverpool game but it's certainly not the season start they'd have wanted. Still, United have had starts like that and still come back. Spurs and Everton were the two hardest games of the first weekend. I wonder if Burnley will come out all guns blazing on wednesday night as that could be a banana skin for us.

Anna, Matt, any analysis? Did you miss Alonso? Sounded like Torres was struggling with fitness, an ankle injury was that right? I'll take a look at MotD tonight.

    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
    • Went there once and were not impressed when they charged £9 for one pot of Chinese tea for 2 people.
    • What nobody has cotton onto is that Dulwich library will not be available possibly for the Council Elections in May 26. Looks as though Southwark are not confident that the work will be completed by May 26 and are scouting around to find alternative venues.
