Absolutely. Name is on the tin after all.

Then we wouldn have lost the supposedly worthless cup winners cup, which amazingly should be for cup winners.

I guess it boils down to is modern football a sport or money generating entertainment.

That was a rhetorical question obviously, I'm clearly naive, old fashioned and out of touch; post cronje, bloodgate and now piquet juniour, no sport is sacred.

I see Del Boy Trotter, sorry, Harry Redknapp has accused some of the Arsenal fans at least weeks game with Citeh as being nutters and idiots for their reaction to Adebayors goal celebration, and for their goading and taunting of him. Fair enough. One would hope that as he is so quick to pass his verdict on these buffoons, he will also be as quick to tar the idiots who verbally abuse Sol Campbell with nasty homophobic shit everytime he turns up at shite hart lane with the same brush.

Fair enough, so all the crap that Sol gets is not the product of "nutters and idiots" but cleary the spoutings of intelligent, articulate and well read erudite chaps. The fact that he gets a bit of racist shite as well means they must challenge Einstein on the brain power front. As for the jowly one, he himself has not been averse to argy bargy on the touchline over the years. Pot and Kettle. Should keep his attention on his own backyard.

FFS I'm not condoning it. I think it was disgusting that he had to put up with THAT song. But lots of fans like to taunt ex-players. Adeboyer brought it in himself and I think he's very lucky not to have got a longer ban considering the kick in the face he gave to Van Persie.

FFS I didn't suggest that you were condoning it, just that Del boy Redknapp is a hypocrite and needs to look to correct the behaviour of his own supporters before opening his jowls to comment on oppositon supporters

    • Well worth a read   https://manchestermill.co.uk/the-men-who-raised-the-flags/
    • If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.
    • Ohh dear.  Fireworks can be great fun.  Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games.  Watching them was more enjoyable than watching  TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs).  It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable.   And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people.   It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it.  But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
    • I made sure to set off a few today just to rile you guys up 😇😂 Always looking for something to criticise
