david_carnell
I'd pick between two if that's OK Steve? First, some British grit - the classic Landrover:http://www.carpages.co.uk/land_rover/land_rover_images/land_rover_series_1_30_06_05.jpgIt's the ultimate do anything, go anywhere vehicle. It went, and still goes, to war. It farms, it carries and it never, ever breaks. Ever. I don't specify which Landy (although the picture is a mk1) but the early ones have a rugged beauty that the modern ones don't).Second, some Gallic flair - the beautiful and ingenious Citroen DS:http://filmforno.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/71665.jpgUnique in design, futuristic even at 50 years old, capable of driving on only three wheels, used by French Presidents. A car with character. And I want one. Badly. Brendan
Favourite car I?ve ever had was the 1979 Mercedes W123 I drove for a while. Favourite ever? That?s a bit difficult. It?s like trying to choose your favourite song but for styling reason only: The original ?55 T-Bird, First generation Ford Mustang, Porsche 356 speedster, Alpha GT Junior. Rhinestone Cowboy
The Gt turbo had the turbo dial that kicked in around 2500rpm so you could heal/toe around small roundabouts and wheel spin away with a big grin on yr face. Wish I was 19 again. I had money and smiled alot more. karter
only trouble with that car was that the turbo charger would burn out quite easily, engine too small . Annasfield
Sorry, I know this a thread for "fellas" and you all think I'm some wannabe bloke, but I really detest general girly stuff. I LOVE football and I like cars. (I also paint my nails, wear high heels and have long hair, so hopefully that makes up for it)Was nearly fickle enough to date a fella who drove one of these once. http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2007/09/03-aston-martin-dbs/Aston-Martin-DBS-2-lg.jpg Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5035-for-the-guys-which-is-your-best-ever-car/#findComment-162325 Share on other sites
