On motorways with the slightest crosswind it would jump into the next lane, and if you ever braked hard going down a steepish hill you would spin 180 degrees. It did have good traction in snowy winters, but the rest of it you could keep.I preferred the British beetle the Morris Minor, which was my first car and the only car I had with a split windscreen. My Uncle does them up for a living and I remember that every time we went to visit him, there'd be a different colour beetle on the drive way. Loved going down to the garage to see what he was working on. Everything came in as a wreck and went out looking pristine.
