*Bob*
Twasn't sarcastic.. I'm hurt.If you didn't leave it on all the time then and your pipes didn't burst over those few days then they won't burst now. SeanMacGabhann
if I was going out for a couple of hours this afternoon I would leave my heating on - not because of worry about the pipes.. but because I wouldn't want to come home to a freezing house. Is that "waste"? I don't think so... Ted Max
I'd go the extra yard and pay someone ?10 an hour to come round to sit in your flat and make sure your heating stays on. Jah Lush
Mine's been on all weekend and I still haven't got home yet so it'll be warm as toast when I finally do make it back. dukesdenver
More efficient to leave it on for a couple of hours than to warm up the house from scratch again, surely? Ted Max
I like to think I'm doing my bit for the community by having the heating on full and the windows open. Melts the snow outside a treat. HonaloochieB
In order to offset *Bob* and Ted's profligate ways I am sitting here in a pair of plaid flannel lounging pyjamas, covered with a pair of 'jogging' (sorry always makes me chuckle that) pants, a vest, an Ian Hunter tour T shirt, a fleece, thermal socks, fleecy mocassins and an enormous fleecy dressing gown. No heating required. So carry on chaps it'll all come out evens in the end. Ted Max
Even to this day, when *Bob* is in the kitchen helping Alice top up the Cinzano and Sodas, Carol still tends to give my knee a little squeeze and refer to me as "the one that got away". It's all a little awkward, really. Ted Max
Oh I've had no doubts about you and Alice since Gran Canaria 1975. Though she tells me these days a cuddle and a chat is about all you're after. It's Carol I feel sorry for - such a sadness in her eyes. She should have stuck with that bookmaker from Orpington - I hear he's done well for himself.
