sliding_doors
I was wondering whether any of the early risers among you could post about whether the trains are running tomorrow morning. Although the Southern website suggests that everything will be up and running it would be good to know if the service is very delayed. Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5162-trains-4th-feb/ Share on other sites

Vik
I live between ED and PR stations, so the ED line is deffo running, can't be sure about anything from on the Denmark Hill / PR line though - sorry! Floating Onion
Trains are running. Some of the station boards are incorrect though. I caught a non existent 7:19 to work. Very empty. Blondie
Trains running fine from ED, definitely quieter than normal. Be really careful on the platform and walk up, none of it has been gritted I saw two people slip over while I was waiting Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5162-trains-4th-feb/#findComment-165041 Share on other sites
Ladygooner
The station was lovely at 7am this morning - the snow was still in its lovely pristine condition. However, the slope up to the platform was a bit slippy! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5162-trains-4th-feb/#findComment-165072 Share on other sites
Ant
Trains were running with big delays at about 8.30 this morning. None of the platforms had been cleared or gritted at all, so it was a bit slippy. Strawbs
Got the 7.51 and it was dead on time and not too packed.. So thankful!! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5162-trains-4th-feb/#findComment-165147 Share on other sites
Ant
Just seen this: service suspended between London Bridge and Beckenham Junction. http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/public/southern.shtml#2867925BTW if any of you use twitter, you can get announcements by following @uktr_southern. http://twitter.com/uktr_southern Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5162-trains-4th-feb/#findComment-165234 Share on other sites
Strawbs
Just did a journey planner from LB to East Dulwich and no mention of disruption, hopefully it is just on that particular line and trains to ED will still be running maybe just with a little delay.. Clazza
Alas the journey planners don't always tell the truth - I waited at Brockley for 1 hr 30 this morning with only 1 train coming through that was too full to get on, yet the sites kept saying there were trains arriving! Obviously the new invisible type. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5162-trains-4th-feb/#findComment-165293 Share on other sites
Strawbs
ha ha the invisible type that made me laugh.. NO WAY! Well I have put in a request that I can leave about 4.30 / 5.00 in case i have a journey home like yesterday (probably wont be approved) which was about 1 hour 45 mins and tube / bus / walk / bus.. It was bliss to get home.. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5162-trains-4th-feb/#findComment-165294 Share on other sites
Floating Onion
Well my train this morning didn't exist on any of the station boards or announcements. Apparently we were supposed to stand back from the edge of the platform as that train wasn't stopping at ED. Oops! ianr
I've concluded that the Nat Rail Journey Planeer shows just the standard timetable, with maybe a red flag linking to any updates. Both up and down trains seen at ED at 15.30, but none at 15.45. That's suggestive evidence of the Croydon branch running, and the Beckenham Junction branch still not. Ant
Latest (apparently) on Southern / Southeastern: Delays of ~30 minutes because of poor weather conditions.Hm. Hope that's not the case but leaving now just in case it is. Miss Tipsy Topple
I normally catch the train from PR in the mornings (more trains than ED), this morning the 8.43 train didn't arrive until after 9am, at least I think it was the 8.43 train, could even have been the 8.56 or 9.01.In the evenings I go to ED, but wish I hadn't tonight I was skidding all over the place and nearly fell over a dozen times. The slope out of the station was like an ice rink and very dangerous, I can't believe they haven't put grit down.My walk up East Dulwich Road was no better.
