Excerpt from email I received at work today

There are many rumours relating to the High Street and potential failures. I can confirm that the majority of credit insurers have pulled cover on Debenhams yesterday/today and that it is likely that the Icelandic Group (Bauger) who own House of Fraser, Monsoon, Whistles, Iceland and many others are very close to being placed into Administration, could be today.

Kerry Katona - 'Only Mums go to Iceland'

Well if they spend their money on crack then what else are they left with.

I had a chilli conne carne from there once (I think it was at the Tex Mex) and it spent about half an hour in my digestive system before it came out for air which resulted in me leaving a rather resiliant 'Salmon' in the toilet. By that I mean the turd I left in the shitter actually attempted to fight the flush to return to it's birthplace.

    • If you want to self cater and do it yourself, why not try one of the rooms in a church..  one I am thinking about has a huge room with kitchen and toilets… parking on site.. and another one worth considering is the church near Dulwich Library , top of Barry Road..  pm if you want more info and of course.. all the pubs on Lordship Lane. if you want further afield, Rosendale Pub has rooms above bar area that you can also hire…  Alleyns Head also good - section off a section of the pub for  your sole use and parking on site.. although, might not work if try want to dance and play there own music. Kingwood House might also be worth considering…
    • Upstairs at The Castle in Crystal Palace Road is a nice space. It has been refurbished. It has a small bar and a small dance space. Robert the landlord is helpful and friendly, as are the bar staff. I will PM you.
    • Hi. Trying to find a small venue for an 18th birthday, any suggestions? Everything’s really expensive.
    • Thank you both. That's really helpful. Will see if we have the budget left next year when we've finished some other work on the house, but would love to do this.
