YES, IT'S TIME FOR THE DR. GOEBBELS SHOW!

THERE'S A TOWER IN THE HEART OF LONDON

WITH A RADIO STATION RIGHT AT THE TOP

THEY DON'T MAKE THE CITY BEAT

THEY'RE MAKING ALL THE ACTION STOP

A LONG TIME AGO THERE WERE PIRATES

BEAMING WAVES FROM THE SEA

BUT NOW ALL THE STATIONS ARE SILENCED

'COS THEY AIN'T GOT A GOVERNMENT LICENSE

WANNA TELL YOUR PROBLEMS

PHONE IN FROM YOUR BEDSIT ROOM

HAVING TROUBLE WITH YOUR PARTNER

LET US ALL IN ON THE NEWS

IF YOU WANNA HEAR A RECORD

GET THE WORD FROM AIDEN DAY

HE PICKS ALL THE HITS TO PLAY

TO KEEP YOU IN YOUR PLACE ALL DAY

CAPITAL RADIO

IN TUNE WITH NOTHING

DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL

You're welcome, Jeremy.

I used to listen to Virgin, now Absolute, a lot when I was driving to work.

The DJs are for the most part complete tossers, and the ads are annoying, but I like the music. I'd say it's aimed at 30 something I-was-almost-cool-once-a-long-time-ago-and-I'm-really-not-now-but-I-don't-want-to-listen-to-Leona-bloody-Lewis sort of demographic.

Waaaay too middle of the road for some on here, but I like it and they have a no repeat guarantee during the day.

Capital DJ just said 'got some great tunes to keep you going through the afternoon now': what?! same ones you've been playing ALL bloomin' day... Girls Aloud, Britney, Lady flippin' Goo Goo Ga Ga, that bloke doing a duet with Nelly Furtado.

Right - give me some new frequencies please... what's Absolute's?

    • There was quite an old clip on BBC4 recently where they were introducing yoghurt to the British public. They called it a 'Balkan Dairy Preparation', which sounded to me more like something you'd ask to speak to the male member of staff about in the chemist in those days.
    • I haven't had any problems, except when the online  appointment system is full, but I have found if something is urgent they can fit you in if you phone. I think they probably keep a few spaces free for urgent last minute appointments, but I'm just guessing  I've found it quite convenient being able to email questions which previously I would have had to ask at an actual appointment, and I've always had a speedy reply. You can send photos as well. I don't know about forms and letters. That sounds bad. Have the admin staff changed recently?
    • Nearly a quarter of the way through the season. Week 9 points...   Week 9 table...
    • The yoghurt was very sharp (not sure of right word) and  if memory serves quite runny. Nothing like the stuff sold now. There was pink as well. Strawberry? That must have had sugar in? Too new fangled for us, but my Auntie Grace down the road used to get it 😂 Well, you had to keep up to date. Sorry, couldn't resist.
