I forgot, I have to say something similar on the third greeting...''Good morning Mr Magpie, how's the wife and kids?''

Nothing for two, but if I'm with someone and I see one Magpie, then I say ''One Magpie seen by two, double good luck to me and you''...apart from Magpies, I'm very rational...honest!

Down four generations, there's only been one girl born on my father's side.

My Great Grandfather had two boys, my Grandfather had two boys, my Dad had two boys, his brother had two boys and the anomoly, my Dad's brother's anomoly had two boys, her younger brother had two boys, her other brother hasn't had kids, my brother has had a boy and i've not had kids.

What if the ladders collapses and you get a builder on top of you ?

Unless the stalker had already worked out their quarry's regular route and laid down the feathers accordingly...

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
