If you argued that society considers promiscuity to be delinquent, and that being a Lothario shows a lack of consideration for the well being of others, then you could argue that it was defamation. If it suggested an element of sexual harassment then it would be damaging for his business.

It wouldn't be me arguing it mind, it would be lawyers who cost more money than the adminstrator posesses. It wouldn't matter if he won or lost, he'd be poor.

I've been visiting a muso forum for about 6 years now, and if the libus thing you are touting were a serious threat I would be in guantanamo bay now getting water boarded. However I resect your experience and judgment.

Thing is, their are other derogatory comments about another establishment within this thread, why hasn't that been edited out.? you cant be half baked about policing peoples comments. or can ya........

Its only a forum and people do get heated, and say some really inflamatory things to each other. I have first hand experiences from this place. On the otherhand it's all part of it I suppose. Some do take it to a really serious level though. I've always treated these places as a platform to take the piss sometimes. But I wouldnt want to really upset people into wanting to persu vengence through the legal system. Id rather meetup for a beer or fisticuffs over the park....
I don't think it's libel if what you are saying is true, and in this case it is true. However, I will not publish the man's name on here. That said, he is something of a danger for several reasons. I am astonished more of you have not had horrible run-ins with him.

Hi Huguenot,

What's your thoughts on the libel situation re. BBW's comment, afterall an establishment is named in the post?..

For the record my original post was very firmly tongue in cheek (no pun intended) as anyone who frequents that establishment will understand...;-)

Whoa - that's a pretty damning accusation! Do you have proof of this? If so then surely that is a criminal offence and should be reported. If not....................

I think reckless or intentional transmission are criminal offences, so the police could be involved. If that's the case, better to involve them and do something to put a stop to it than scaremongering on a forum surely...

This individual has not had the chance to give me anything as I turned him down but I've since discovered that he's been with two local women I know and one of them now has health problems as a result. Wondering if he is purposely trying to harm people or he is just randy as hell and being reckless.

Randy as hell and being reckless is NOT the same as " an individual purposely spreading a

> life-threatening STD, among other things"

    • Been with The Gardens now for around 30 years and very rarely do I have a problem. I went in to collect a form and mentioned that my leg was hurting and hot- was seen immediately by the Practice nurse who then arranged an appointment on the Saturday with the Extra care service at TJ Centre where I saw a doctor, who then sent me off to Kings for further tests.. I recently booked a flu jab but appointment is in 2 weeks.
    • Have used Milk and More for years. When the price went up we cancelled a couple of pints but we still have 8 pints a week. If we are expecting family etc we buy from Sainsburys to top up. We kept on with M & M as if weather bad we could order extra stuff from them to save us a trip to Sainsburys Local. Also gives employment to our milkman.
    • Hi there, Our Lexus NX300H, (reg RF18BWO) was stolen off our driveway last night, Monday 27th October. It was there at 9pm, and had gone by 7am. If anyone has any footage on their doorbell or Ring, that would be super helpful. We have asked some neighbours and reported to the police etc.  Most upsettingly, there was a box of old family videos in the car boot, in an old Sainsburys box (photo attached). If anyone sees these dumped at the side of the road, please contact me asap! They are priceless videos that my deceased grandparents took. Thank you for any info, Jojo
    • Another shout out for Milk & More - their app allows you to alter the order, add or subtract to it and also to schedule holiday stops without having to leave messages in bottle - so more secure. You do have to set up a direct debit with them, but I haven't had any problems with that myself. I have had one or two missed or late deliveries in several years, but not really a problem - only very occasional and caused mainly by delivery-person illness. And very much feels like an old-fashioned milk delivery. They do special seasonal offers as well. More expensive than the cheapest of the super market milk prices, but for that its at your door, fresh and no bother.
