"In terms of actual percentages, the majority of those figures have a negligible difference. Certainly not significant to warrant the cacophony of snobbish tutting on here."

B&llocks.

Robbery - Nunhead 4 x ED

Drug offences - Nunhead 7 x ED

Burglary - Nunhead 40% higher than ED

The perception that ED is a lower crime area than Nunhead is correct. But as you say, within an area there are lots of other factors that make you more or less likely to be a victim. I've never thought of Nunhead as unsafe, and I don't now I've seen those figures (I was surprised that Nunhead rates higher than the Southwark average for robbery)

Fair Enough. I don't mind taking on The Peckham Posse or The Brixton Massif but I'm defintely NOT getting involved with no

badass mothers, I know my capabilities and many limitations...

The Daily Mail is really only fit to use to line the cat litter tray, so don't expect to read anything sensible in it.

I love Nunhead, alway have and always will. I love some of our local shops, but am also glad to have ED just across the park. I totally respect the views of those who prefer East Dulwich, but don't see why there has to be any snobbery about it. Surely we can all live alongside each other quite happily? I reckon there are good and bad things about both areas.

I love Nunhead, it's a lovely area. Previously lived in East Dulwich.

Where I am:

Nunhead train station 5 minutes away (Blackfriars/Victoria)

P12 bus - 2 minutes away (Brockley or Surrey Quays)

343 bus - 5 minutes away (New Cross or London Bridge)

484 bus - 5 minutes away (Lewisham bus station or Camberwell)

Peckham Rye Park 10 minute walk away

Churches in either direction - 5 minute walk

Pubs nearby (one 1 minute away), Ivy House 5 minutes away

Jacqui Smith 5 minutes away ::o

Everything is within easy reach.

    • Labour are bashing themselves.  There is a difference between those who really want this government to work (there are many good things but as you have said nobody is listening) and to those who don't like Labour and would never vote of them.  The move to the right is worrying and of course worthy of discussion. I wonder if those most critical on this forum would vote Labour if they did take more draconian/authoritarian action to reduce legal and illegal migration.  I doubt it,  But perhaps outside of the metropolitan areas.....
    • It wasn't irony many of the population think he is amusing.  I can't print what I think. And frighteningly from a 2011 biography He is blessed with immense charisma, wit, sex appeal and celebrity gold dust; he is also recognised and loved by millions I've compared him with Quagmire from family guy in the past, giggity giggity
