Well I have emailed the W.I as they say to contact them in order to get help on setting one up in an area where there isn't one. It is definitely something I cannot take on on my own but there is indeed a lot of interest and possibly there would be others with more time. Let's see what the W.I say?

Hello! this is the N1WI.

Thanks, Katie, for getting in touch.

You will find it all really fun, and a v. worthwhile, friendly (etc) thing to be involved in. It's worth looking up Fulham's website, too, as they are young and have a good take on things.

If you are keen to chat about the logistics, etc., then let me know and we can meet up. By coincidence, think I work v near katiesa, so hopefully will be able to meet up and talk about it. Otherwise, fire away with questions and will try my best to answer them. And anyone who fancies it, we are doing burlesque dancing for our meeting tonight, 6.45 in Florence Tavern, just off Upper Street, N1. Visitors always very welcome!

xx

Ok - The W.I have been in touch and have said to contact The Surrey Federation (as this County covers all of inner

London based WI enquiries) on: 01483 233 230

Email Jo Vooght at: [email protected]

Katie from the Islington W.I has also said that she would be happy to help/advise.

At this point I am now snowed down at work and have tons to get on with so reluctantly cannot dedicate time to this. If anyone that is reading this forum can that would be great as there is definitely call for it.

I'd be happy to give Jo a ring. Perhaps the best way to proceed after that would be to meet for a glass of wine/ coffee and discuss how to take it further. A committee style affair, rather than one person taking on all the responsibilities?

If everyone who would be up for meeting and getting involved could get in touch by the end of the day...we could then discuss a possible meeting. Good idea?

Here's another link that's quite interesting...

How about having our first informal meeting at Green and Blue, Monday night at 8pm? Anyone who's interested can come along. Although, I'd hate it if it was just me! Conversation might be a bit slow....

I could do Tuesday. I think they have a special offer on bottles of wine drunk in G&B on a Tuesday night, so could save some cash at the same time. I can only make it for an hour or so, but I'm sure this will be fine to get an idea of what we should be doing (and have a nice glass of vino).

With the most updated VIVOTEK SNV and WDR Pro technology, the IB9367-HT is capable of capturing the highest quality images in both low light and high contrast environments. • Am I right in thinking, after a little checking, that 'sim free phone' is now just the equivalent of 'unlocked', ie not locked to a specific network? Sue, if you do find a network that will let you keep a connection with them for nowt, or without any risk (in some cases) of having the number and even account balance withdrawn, do let me know. :)  It's happened to me twice -- once with a really nice number too.  I need to find a better deal for myself too.
