giggirl
Never trust anyone who gives advice; it's usually rubbish. "Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes". Ever hear that one? Nonsense. Anybody comes anywhere near my shoes gonna get a slap. jimmy two times
A great bit of advice I saw in a film was in 'The Bronx tale'. The gangster tells the kid who he has taken under his wing that if he wants to know if a girl is worth seeing again he should open the car door for her and then walk around the car to the driver's door. If she reaches over and opens it for him then she's worth it. If she doesn't then it shows she's selfish and only thinks of herself. Atila Reincarnate
My late dad always said never be jealous or envious of anothers success or good fortune, simply strive to be as good if not better than them, and he always said if haven't got anything good or postive to say then say nothing. Unfortunately the latter advice I find hard to stick to when it comes to all things football. Brendan
For some reason it really used to annoy me when girls didn?t lean over and unlock the drivers door after I had let them in. Not sure why and I never acted on or said anything about it though. I would just have a mutter as I walked around to the driver?s side. Not had a car without central locking in at least 10 years though so, happy days, it is no longer an issue. Huguenot
Giggirl - "Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes"I can see how you were frustrated by that one, because you didn't get the full story. It should read:"Before you judge someone walk a mile in their shoes; because then you're a mile away, and you've got their shoes" Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5322-whats-the-best-piece-of-advice-youve-ever-had/page/2/#findComment-170901 Share on other sites
