Museum / TV Props

Before we embark on a lengthy google search, does anybody know of somewhere relatively local like a museum or a company that supplies props to Tv/Film makers, that specialises in entertainment.

We are clearing the family home and have found some old televisions, record players and radios in the loft. They are in to good a condition to skip but are now obviously obsolete. Doubt they have any actual value other than period charm.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

kford: had thought of that but wanted to do something "different" with them

Louisa: I Live outside London now and family in F Hill/Sydenham borders so we are not so familiar with ED/Peckham these days. Can you elaborate in case the following doesn't work out.

Chick: have your phone number and will give you a call if the following doesn't work out.

Laur: thanks, that is exactly what we were looking for and will give them a try. Although I don't live in London anymore, I had no idea this place existed when I did! Seems it's been there 30/40 yrs. One of those hidden gems!

    • What is it that makes Waitrose so special! Admittedly I have shopped a couple of times in the Orpington and Beckenham one - sometimes buying food which I cannot get else where. Their 'basic range' is not bad. Price for price and quality - M & S.
    • Sometimes a shed or other installation has to have written approval from the freeholder i.e. Southwark, Southwark has (or did have) a Leaseholder Association.   Could also come under Anti Social Behaviour Unit.
    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
