Don't think that was me...maybe it was her Ladyship...

Agreed, the Old Fart is a good egg. :))

Am I the only one to notice that this morning Laddy Muck aided by numbers had filled the whole page with Alan Medic threads. Hence the flies.

'A' for effort

If you look in the nether regions there is still a heavy Narnia presence

"numbers" was an equal member of a very efficient team...

Cheers steveo and AQ :)-D

as a new visitor to the EDF, I can be objective here. I come here to take the piss and mostly, but this may be only serious post . evah

there really is an undercurrent of if not ouright nastiness, but something not sorta comfortable going on, not going to say clique, but an aggressive tone that feels a bit uneasey, that seems to be popping up more and more in discussions. have a look at recent longiush threads- sperm flecked dismissives all over the place. this cant be comfortable reading for new visitors outside general section

Not that it really bothers me, my lifespan here is measured in hours rather than years, so i will be off soon im sure.

im pretty thick skinned on the EDF , as i have no investment in the ebb and flow of the fourm and rarely get into an argument or abuse because

a) they are usually wrong

b) they are always wrong

I often comment, then remove it (.) as its not worth the bother

Graham Greene described our man in Havana as an entertainment- and for me, thats as far as it can go

It was the cat/sink post that gave it away...

No RD, haven't a clue how to make one. My mum used to make it too. She's in her eighties now.

Surprisingly I'm nowhere near that but am probably turning into her as the years go by.

Please just try to be NICE.

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.
    • Hi there, We are currently having issues with our current nursery in ED, and are looking for an excellent childminder or nanny locally. We live on Melbourne Grove so can walk within a 5-10 min radius. Ideally to start in January 2026 please. We have a 14 month old girl. Any recommendation for other childcare providers would be appreciated too! Thanks a lot, Jojo

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
