I have to admit post Achtung Baby, they have been generally crap, but I would,nt hear a word said against Bono, my brother worked with them between 1991-94 and I got to meet them a few times. For all his save the world stuff hes actually a pleasant and down to earth guy, the real arse was Adam Clayton, but thats another story.

I wouldn't buy into their whole canon, but U2 have produced some great music and anyone who wouldn't have at least a greatest hits in their collection, then is a not just a hater of Bono but of pop music.

Anyway Paul is a good ol' skin in my view, not afraid to piss off sectors of the music press, the EDF forum and his own drummer in order to do what he thinks might do some good.

Meeting with George Bush can't have done his standing in the 'vaguely left-leaning' rock community much good.

I hear tell that Springsteen threatened to write to the Pope to get him dropped from the private audience list and Michael Stipe refused to return his calls. For three days.

And his shades rock.

But I realise I've gone OT, oh yes that eye make up he wore in that Q interview, hated that. Well, didn't much like it.

Yes, come on Hewson cop yourself on eye decoration-wise.

He truly is the Ant-Christ sent to confuse the masses - he also is associated with a private equity company http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elevation_Partners so add that to the growing list.

Oi rich people - pay your bloody taxes and contribute to the social agenda instead of lecturing us to give some of hard -earned after tax monies to the good causes that you espouse for self-promotion and glorification.

Truly hate him.

Global Warming Global Warming Global Warming!

Right where did we park the private Jet.

Hes alright really I don't hate him I think he is trying to make a difference and the fact he has more money than all of us put together means he can fund his awareness campaign. he can make more noise than us unknown types.

The new album is a bit of a grower, on first hearing I though so what but I'm starting to like it now.

I nicked this off another site which was an analysis moving his tax affairs from Oireland to the Netherlands ...

Paying tax is essential to development

Where does this leave Bono? Seriously out of step I?m afraid. In fact, well outside the development agenda. The tax havens he uses undermine development. They divert income from developing countries. They ensure tax is not paid in them. They facilitate capital flight from those developing counties. As Raymond Baker has shown, tax avoidance driven capital flight costs developing countries ten times their aid receipts.

Bono is endorsing this. His credibility is in tatters.

But he has a choice. He could pay tax. This is an option he can afford. But it?s more important than that: it?s his duty.

DAVID PAUL HEWSON - PUT UP OR SHUT UP

This says it all...

?For many years, my people and I have felt ignored,? said Eric Mbeke, 13, of Ethiopia, with what later proved to be his last breaths. ?But now that Bono has taken up our cause, we know that not everyone is ignoring us, just the people who are in a position to do something about it.?

OHHHHHH GOD HELP US..............

PLEASE IGNOR NOBO.........

He's got to be smacked out of his brains to be as disinhibited as he is.... really

HELP.....

*Arrghhhh...woof runs into the woods with a burning tyre around his waist*

In fact he wins as I am now dying of NOBO induced apoplexy - the hate has condensed into a toxic swamp of loathing and despair which is eating away at my soul - lets all buy RED luxury products on credit and save the world.

No rope is long enough or scaffold high enough

By their friends shall ye know them - One of his mates

According to Billboard, U2's upcoming world tour will be called "U2360". It was previously reported the tour's name was to be "Kiss the Future," however Billboard's editors updated the story today with the new tour title.

Playing in a 360 configuration will increase the capacity by about 15%-20%, depending on the stadium. The configuration opens up myriad opportunities for scaling ticket prices. The top ticket price will be slightly higher than last time and the bottom price will be lower, with the floor seats -- the closest to the stage -- the lowest priced. Field level is going to be $55, and there will be 10,000 tickets a show, every show, at $30. The price points are $250, $90-$95, depending on the market; $55 and $30.

    • It has come to this author’s attention that the world of 4+ admissions — that most enigmatic of educational rites — continues to bewilder even the most composed of parents. Fear not. For in a former life, I was not merely a humble observer, but a seasoned educator of over twenty years, and Head of Pre-Prep for a distinguished dozen. Now, with quill exchanged for touchscreen, I have taken to that most modern of salons — Instagram — to dispense guidance, answer frequently whispered questions, and illuminate the shadowy corners of school selection with clarity and calm. Each post bears my signature twist: a blend of insight, levity, and the occasional raised eyebrow. Should you find yourself adrift in the sea of admissions, I suggest you peruse my latest dispatch. It may well be the lifeline you seek. The Delicate Dilemma of the Summer-born 4+ Scholars Yours in solidarity and scholastic savvy, Lord Pencilton  🎩✏️
    • Perhaps Gooseygreeny was not familiar with the wildlife before Gala was imposed on the park, since when its value to wildlife has deteriorated. The Park had never been disturbed before, as the council had respected it as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, so only the Common was licensed by them as a site for events. The first time Gala held their event, there was a tree with woodpeckers nesting in it right in the middle of the main field they used and thrushes, blackbirds and great tits nesting within the shrubs and trees immediately surrounding the field. The woodpeckers were thriving on ants from the anthills in the grass. To those of us who used to enjoy watching the wildlife, it was very obviously a Site of Importance for a variety of birds. Despite being accessed by the public and their dogs, it had been relatively undisturbed,  which was one of the main reasons why it was so special and why I have been opposed to the Gala festival being held during the bird nesting season.
