I have a friend from oz that is moving to the UK arriving 5th May. She is going to be staying with me for a week but then has a friend of hers joining her and will need some short term accom i.e. a few weeks to a month at minimum two would be perfect. I have a feeling they will love the area so will be looking for longer term accom but will be working by then so will be able to sign a lease etc.

I hear there are rooms at the upland for about 40 quid a night, has anyone stayed there and are they ok?

thanks

xx

yes... one of our clients used to come over and stay for blocks of two or three night, and always said it was ideal (clean but basic) and the breakfasts were good. There was one very nice room that had it own en suit bathroom and the others I thing shared one on the landing...

the uplands has 5 rooms

1. twin ( shared shower room on landing)

2. single ( same shared shower)

3. double (ensuite)

4. double (ensuite)

5. family double and 2 single ( bathroom on landing or shared shower)

there is seperate entrance so guests dont have to go through bar.

    • Let's see how a Leader and party that thrive on division and demonising elements of our society actually do when they have to deliver. Let's hope that the two main parties don't consider that the best way to fight Reform is to become like then. Even less reason to visit the small town where I grew up.  Not a cause for any joy or celebration. Happy to celebrate the Canadian result.
    • The Reform Party has surely taken the Conservatives and Labour by surprise? I’ve been a Conservative voter since the age of 18 and voted for them in the General Election last Summer. Sadly Labour were elected but their policies on so many issues have been their downfall as they did not stick to them.
    • I do remember this too lol Oh how funny. Why has it changed? That is funny Spartacus
    • Thanks Angelina, you’re right but I’m looking specifically for the book/paper version
