poor poor Dulwich Doll, we shall miss her ..... :-S

or have I gotten the wrong person again ?

what gets me is how you all seem to know who has and has not been banned ? there is no list so i can only presume that by grassing up to admin or running to admin on masse (playground habits no doubt) you recieve a reply to your mulitude of complaining emails letting you know that action has been taken and calming you down. Then no doubt you pm all your other friends in the playground and feel somewhat empowered.

DulwichDoll return soon and lets get on with stealing their dinner money again !!

oh, don't be a silly billy AllforNun

Admin put a post up saying so, for all to see.

so no conspiracy theories needed at all...

Not at all Daizie, the first is a spontaneous burst of music hall based on your moniker, the second is the vulgar wersion we used to sing as children.

I think in the second the implication is that our heroine is 'on the game', though I never realised this when singing it as a nipper.

Of course I am not implying anything about you or your profession.

Actually Brendan I once overheard some of the servant's children singing a version which made me blush to my roots and burst into tears. When Mama demanded to know why my lacey collar was all wet I told her.

Within minutes Stebbings the butler had escorted the scullery maid, her husband the odd-job man and their four children off the premises. They were directed to the nearest gutter and told not to ask for references.

My father blamed my mother for "allowing servants to marry and breed on the premises".

I often wonder what became of them.

    • This is where I sit too. A two day event is bearable. Three tests my tolerance. Finding the right balance on size, noise and impact is where I contribute to the consultation process. BUT, as I wrote elsewhere, every year the GALA organisers ask/ push for more, and deals have already been done with the council before it gets to public consultation stage. It is also worth pointing out that when a licence was first granted, the orgnaisation was different (We Are the Fair), one of the company directors lived literally next to the park (she left when it became GALA) and the current form bears no resemblance to original ethos/ vision sold to the council and licensing committee. This needs to be pointed out and I am fairly confident local councillors would also support a pushback on any further expansion. We have local elections next year, so councillors ears will be open.

    • Not really sure why SE22 is getting upset about Brockwell Park.  I expect more people around here attend the festivals than are inconvenienced by it.  But it supports my view that many like to complain even when not directly affected. Football grounds move.  Attendances change.  Demographic too,not old blokes in flat caps or boys in short trousers with rattles.  Arsenal attendances at the Emirates are over twice what they were in the late 80s at Highbury.  Much more disruption in N1 nowadays.  DHFC tripples what they were 15 years ago, but good news is much quieter than the past.
