Vespa Kickstart thieves on the loose

Hi,

Me and the missus have a Vespa each and have just discovered that someone has decided to steal both of our kickstart pedals. Has anyone else had the same thing happen and does anyone know what the point is as they are only worth a tenner?

Never had to kickstart mine before anyway so no great loss, it's all just a bit annoying.

had an old vespa once , only way to start was the kickstart.

Had the same problems with my Honda C90.People nick the bits from it that get damaged if the bike falls over ie. kick starts ,mirrors and indicators.

I keep getting my cover nicked, at least one a month. Not sure what is happening to them.

cosmetically Pre damage them to make their theft less likely

you never see a cycle despatch rider on a sparkly new bike, even though the constituent parts are usually 4 figues in value

They jimmied into the seat of mine a couple of months ago and stole the battery! What's that all about? B******s!

Mrs. Pierre's got an Oxford cover for hers, and it has two loopholes for the locks to go through. Not that they're particularly substantial, but maybe a bit of a deterrent.
