ok, i know grazia is fairly rubbish, even in it's category (a category i know well).

but why is it that tosh thinks it's honorable to read the Business section of multiple

newspapers and the Economist (and sometimes the New Statesman) every week BUT

looks down on me disapprovingly every time I open a women's mag, a weekend magasine, or a show biz gossip mag?

Why is spending hours reading about the economy considered fine whilst reading about people/pop culture isn't fine???

or is tosh just an elitist bully?

Does it really matter? It doesn't bother me if after a hard day some light entertainment is consumed, some people are way too serious all the time and lifes too short so if you like reading gossip from Women's mags then tell him Ballaxe.

maybee its time for you to find someone who isnt soooo stuffy.

When taking the dentist's waiting room challenge my top pick would probably be 'Hello'.

The publication is near-perfect, in my opinion.

The only thing that would improve it would be a problem page. Not your modern over-sexualised rubbish.. more along the classic lines of Mary Marryat's page from the Woman's Weekly ("I occasionally smell of onions when I sweat".. "will a glass eye ruin our love life?" etc)

It's bigbadwolf not 'bigbadwolfe', thicky! Secondly, what's all this 'fuzzy wuzzy' business eh Mickles? I can only guess but I'm sure they 'don't like it up em'.

If you think Dulwichmum makes you look silly Mike Mrs Mills would tear you a new arsehole!

BBW is spot on with Mrs Mills, a nice bit of wit and innuendo on a Sunday over a sausage sarnie is just the job. It is AA Gill though, isn't it? His retaurant and TV reviews are also what I buy the paper for.

However Shosh please inform Tosh that Sarah Harding is MY completely inappropriate crush and I'd be obliged if he confined his attentions to one or more of the four.

Thanks.

Ah yes, Sarah "disco Smarties" Harding. The attraction to this drug infused, dead behind the eyes twenty year old is obvious. Where is her mother? That is what I want to know.

Speaking of reading material for the dentists waiting room *Bob*, has anyone else noticed that the dentists next to the post office on Lordship Lane have lined their walls and filled their magazine racks with advertisements, price lists and literature on Botox and fillers? Little Max was traumatised by the images of needles being pushed into faces. We will not be going back.

Has it really become that popular in suburbia?

    • I also wonder if all this, recently events and so many u turns is going to also be the end of Kier Starmer.
    • And I replied: Mandelson and Trump have much in common. They are both shallow, vulgar and vain. They both fetishise wealth and power, irrespective of who holds it or how it was accumulated. They were both close friends and associates of the late Jeffrey Epstein and have moved in the same circles, as Ghislaine Maxwell’s address book allegedly confirms. Recognising another who is utterly transactional and lacking in a moral compass, there’s every chance of “Petie” fitting right in Mar-a-Largo. That Starmer couldn’t anticipate that Mandelson’s past behaviour would be problematic just proves how inept this government is.
    • Can't agree with that because he is a superb communicator - a really smart and  smooth talker. He studied PPE at Oxford and was communications director for Labour for many years.  Setting aside the "minor"  indiscretions during his time in government he has all the smoothness and ability to flatter Trump without appearing obsequious. Plus he can manage and exploit  Trump’s ego. He is highly polished socially, comfortable in elite circles, skilled at making personal connections. He can flatter and disarm, which is a useful tactic with Trump, who responds well to personal respect and praise. As a former EU Trade Commissioner and Cabinet minister, Mandelson understands international relations, trade, and diplomacy. He knows how to frame issues in terms of “wins” that Trump could claim credit for. I honestly hope that he survives.
    • He is toast  he should never have been appointed  and starmer flannelling about all of this shows exceptionally poor judgement  a disgrace all around
