HellNoHellYeah
I am looking to move soon and I've got some flat viewings lined up in West Dulwich. What is West Dulwich? Mick Mac
I think there is a fine line between West Dulwich and Norwood - so you might want to be on the Dulwich side of West Dulwich if you prefer to think of yourself as living in Dulwich. It does not seem to appear on maps genarally but I have friends who live there, it has the Rosendale Pub which is good, a Cafe Rouge which is also good and an Italian restaurant which I have not been to. Its a fair old trek to East Dulwich if you want a more lively night out. KalamityKel
in between west dulwich and norwood there is a place called tulsehill so an argument over silly boundaries is pointless and it doesnt particularly matter when u fink of it... :p Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6303-west-dulwich-does-it-exist-does-it-count/#findComment-202222 Share on other sites
PinkyB
I went to see a house a few months ago that advertised itself as being in West Dulwich. In actual fact it turned out to be so close to Tulse Hill that you could see the platform at Tulse Hill station from the window of the room. On the way home I waited twenty five minutes for the one bus out of there that only runs 3 times an hour, and then witnessed a violent argument between several strangers that ended in death threats and the bus driver barricading himself behind his little glass door and threatening to call the police. West Dulwich itself (not the bit that's actually Tulse Hill) has some nice streets, and NOTHING ELSE GOING FOR IT WHATSOEVER. No shops, no nightlife, no restaurants, no buses out of the damn place. It's also dead as a dodo at night, and therefore not a very nice place to find yourself waiting for that three-times-an-hour bus. Unless you drive, and thus have an easy means of escape, I wouldn't bother. Mick Mac
Well PinkyB - I don't think anyone else need comment - you seem to have cornered the market in West Dulwich bashing. No doubt your post will be leaked to the West Dulwich forum, the locals will come across, torch our houses, rape our wives, and whatever the modern equivalent is - oh yes - drink in our bars. Cassius
Tulse Hill has far better train connections than East Dulwich. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6303-west-dulwich-does-it-exist-does-it-count/#findComment-202409 Share on other sites
