I know, not a limerick, but i loved this contribution from a bored spectator at lords on the Guardian obo (tsk, bloody blackberries eh)

Oh look a streaker. At least that's bloody something

I've been watching these fools bat since 10 in the morning

My beer's getting flat in its clear plastic chalice

While the batsmen block-out and the bowlers lack malice

Last night on the telly they suggested I come

Down to Lords for the 5th day. They said it'd be fun

Well Botham and Boycott can both bloody lump it

Coz of their great advice I'm now down 20 quid

They said there'd be boundaries and wickets and runs

But today all I've seen is some stranger's bare bum

Nice Verse.

Did you know, my fellow limerickers, that apparently, as part of the Dulwich festival, there was a talk about maths and poetry and the links between. I heard that one of the esteemed (and local) talkers quoted the moxons/hoxton/foxtons limerick from this ere forum. Which is equally nice.

    • Hello All, I'm after sun hats for adults some with physical and learning disabilities who enjoy outdoor activities with an organisation I volunteer with. If you have any caps, bucket hats, or aussie type sun hats that you no longer use or would like to pass on., any condition...I know some very appreciative peeps who would be very grateful. If you need info then please DM me. Thanks for reading.
    • I had the same thing happen about a year ago... a couple of times in fact. I obviously react a lot less to posts than I used to because it has'nt happened again!
    • The link below has further information suggesting that the shop demolition and square redevelopment is funded separately from the station upgrades, so will go ahead:   https://www.ianvisits.co.uk/articles/peckham-rye-stations-step-free-upgrade-has-been-put-on-hold-82360/
    • Last time the toilets were out of operation in the station M&S we were all told to go out and up to Sainsbo! Certainly didn't close (I'm not suggesting that's the thing the library should do!)
