This is exactly the sort of thread that is sending regular forumites running for the door. Really now Mr Wolf, how bored are you exactly? The next time you dream up a thread like this sweetie, why don't you just raise your hand and place it over your mouth.

Where is all of the intelligent bantor gone from this forum?

If I throw a stick, will you leave?(realises that skirt is tucked into knickers, blushes and backs towards the door)

Oh dear.

Look who got out of the wrong side of the sofa this morning.

Dulwichmum, we're all open to criticism and as intelligent (I hope) individuals we should welcome it but I'm afraid you're accusations of unoriginality are on rocky/hypocritic ground.

From the thread throwing a sicky. 'It feels like hearing a group of aggressive twelve year olds talking to loudly on the upstairs of the bus'. Not exactly word for word from the first time I've seen you write this on the forum but I've seen it done in your hand before.

The same thread. 'I don't know what your problem is but I bet it's hard to pronounce'. Exactly the same way it appeared in another thread under your hand. The first time I thought it was funny the second time however I thought "hmmmm...she's slipping".

I know it's a small and ineffectual list but it mirrors your scorn against us to an extent. You were offered some excellent advice, start a thread about something you find interesting that will keep the yobs at bay. Your failure to do so will speak volumes on your originality and make us think 'is she copying it all from somewhere'.

I and many others on this forum do enjoy your interjections no matter how caustic they're are but can I ask one favour. Can you please stop the OHMYGOD.

    • What a brilliant idea. I hope it went OK, Sue.
    • Yes, the appointments were scheduled for every ten minutes. And there is no waiting area at all this time  (sometimes for medical checks there they have a very small area inside with 3 or 4 seats). If you have come by public transport, you have to sit on the steps up to the van if you are early,  which isn't pleasant in very hot sun or pouring rain, or else wander round Asda (there's no cafe in Asda, despite it supposedly being a superstore). It's one in, one out. I don't know what happens if you are late, but I doubt they would hold up everybody who came after you in order to fit you in.  There was someone immediately before me and someone immediately after me. That's what I did in the end , so thank you for that.  I gritted my teeth and got some exercise. It wasn't as bad as I expected 😀 I did get a 37 from Nigel Road back to Goose Green on the return journey, though!
    • NHS subcontractors frequently use supermarket parking areas for CT and other screening. Easy to get to and park. They've done the same at Dog Kennel Hill in the past. Makes a lot of sense. And they ram in lots of timed appointments, so time critical is precisely right.
    • There is an NHS van in the Asda car park which is a local centre for lung cancer screenings. I'm an ex smoker (haven't smoked for decades but still at risk). My appointment was at 2pm. Any other sarcastic comments? Do feel free 🙄
