Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know about a rather unpleasant experience I had with a company called super pizza on Friday. Went round to a mate's who's moved into a flat near peckham rye recently and we decided to order a pizza. We took the admittedly dubious option of ordering off one of the 2 pizza leaflets she'd had shoved through the letter box since she'd moved in. The company took forever to find the place (the Gardens is reasonably well-known - no?), telling us about an hour after we'd rung that they'd be there in ten minutes (forty minutes later the food arrived.) The order was wrong and cold so I rang them up and they sent more pizza (again wrong but this time in 10 minutes) We had sort of given up by this point so just left it. What followed though was atterly bizarre and unpleasant - my friend received 3 utterly obscene texts, obviously from the delivery guys. When I called up the company to complain, the man at the other end of the phone shouted at me that it wasn't his drivers but I made him take down the mobile number that kept texting her nonetheless.

The whole thing was stupid and quite creepy - especially when my friend is clearly aware that these men know where she lives.

She's fine. I thought about calling the police but the last time I asked them to sort out my laptop being nicked out of my house, it was such a nightmare and they were so unreliable about it that I ended up waiting inside for 13 hours for them to come and 'investigate'. It just would have made the whole thing more of a trial. If they contact her again, I will ring them though...

Heanix.

Sorry if you might feel Wolfie & I are ganging up on you! what with him inferring you were a plebe "an' all that" . See this forum has slipped it's mooring of late and now flounders on a raft of flotsam in a sea swimming with banal & puerile tosspots posting stuff like your latest offering, i really didn't think we'd find the "new mikecg" so soon.

I just want to say "welcome aboard shipmate"

Keep up the good work.

*OO*

* still trying to think of favourite colour....err..hmmmm*

    • I wonder if DE lobbied for the pedestrian crossings at the junction if they have plans to develop the site for housing.

Couldn’t see an obvious owner, he had a collar on and very placid but no details on collar. He wandered off (and I wasn’t in a position to stay) but please can folks keep an eye out if he’s still wandering about later in case he has been abandoned. Park ranger numbers were not working 😞

    • There are "plans" to build more reservoirs, with physical work yet to be started, with the first hoped to be completed by 2036, and a second by 2040, then time is needed for them to fill so add at least another 12 months on. However, if the 1.5 million homes are built by 2028, each averaging 2 people occupying them.(some will be more, some will be less) then thats 3 million people showering, bathing and using water.  Therefore there is a massive demand that will strain our current inferstructure between 2028 and 2037 (nearly ten years) plus all those homes will need electricity, as the ambition is to phase gas usage out, which will take just as much time to reinforce the network to cover, let alone add in the ability to cope with green production electricity that needs to be moved from wind and solar farms to where it is most needed.  Therefore, is the current plan to build more homes, regardless of where they are,  potentially going to have serious ramifications on already creaking networks ?
