jimmy two times
Has anyone ever hired a VW camper van to tour in? I'm thinking of giving it a go with my two teenagers. I was thinking of a week, but I'm a bit concerned it may be too small. I've been quoted around ?800. ibilly99
Don't ! HireD one for Glasto a couple of years ago - they are a nightmare even though it was a top recon one broke down and was a general pain - owners are a cult who revel in keeping them on the road. Cool yes to look a but a serious hobbyists gig IMHO. bon3yard
You want to get yourself one of those old Dormobiles with The Concertina roof. Well cool and you could probably buy one for that price! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a3/Morris_J4_based_Dormobile_reg_1965.JPG/250px-Morris_J4_based_Dormobile_reg_1965.JPG Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6454-vw-camper-van-rental/#findComment-207416 Share on other sites

The camper is the core, but it's even cramped for two if you have nothing else. The nice thing is you do have a few services on board, including an all-important power source for a sound system. louisiana
BBW, camper vans are terrifically popular amongst the dance music fraternity, and they carry really fab sound systems around with them. Some are so OTT that they get shut down at festivals owing to annoyance to thousands of others. You can have a fab sound system on a bicycle actually (witness Critical Mass).
