Hi all,

I'm going to be a Winter Baby's mum again in Jan. Same due date as I had with DD2 4 years ago. This will be number 3 for me.

I think moderators set up a group towards the end of Aug for the next Winter Babies so we may have to move!

Congratulations though and I look forward to getting to know you all. WBC was definitely invaluable last time.

Hi everyone & thanks for replying :)

Congratulations on your second & third babies!

Really looking to meeting you all and share experiences.

Let's see what happens with the group (or what moderators do) but I'll keep checking this thread too.

Take care and hope the pregnancy goes easy on you all

Congratulations on your pregnancies. I'm also expecting my second child this Christmas, I currently have a 20 month old little boy and am fairly new to Dulwich. I'm keen to meet mums in same/similar situation.

Best wishes with your pregnancies.

Sorry all, I'm a bit behind the ball with the baby club threads and don't generally set them up until someone asks/reminds me! This can be the "official" thread for winter babies, I've edited the title to include February due dates too.

Congratulations to all of you.

Hi all, I am due 10th Feb. Has anyone suggested a meeting time/date/place? Perhaps Peckham rye park cafe on Sunday afternoon, 6th Sept or Sat 12th Sept around 2pm? If it is nice we can meet on the grass outside the front of the cafe (bring picnic blankets) and if rainy we can have herbal tea indoors.

Hi all. After a somewhat arduous journey to get here, I'm due my first (a boy) on 15 December.

It would be fab to get to know some local mums/ mums to be. I'm definitely keen for a meet up sometime soon, although sadly I can make either 6 or 12 September. Feel free to meet up without me though - I'll try and make it to the next meet-up.

I can't meet the first two weeks of September either but free after that. Since a few others can't make it should we meet either one of the weekends at the end of September? 19/20 or 26/27? Anyone free then?

Looking forward to meeting you all.

    • Yes they do, but that is not the core tenet of representative democracy. At that level, we are voting for a parliamentary representative, irregardless of whether parties exist or not. It's why candidates can stand as independents.
    • Sadly I think you will never convince people like this. They think gardens have to be kept chopped back and controlled. My theory is that this comes from being (or trying to be) controlling in every aspect of their lives, so I doubt if anything you could say or show them would have any effect. But are they actually coming into your garden or leaning over into it and pulling up/damaging things? If so, maybe one of our community police people could have a word with them?
    • Dear Nature lovers - advice please. I am being harassed by a neighbour who doesn't like my standard of gardening which she calls 'messy'. (I have rewilded my garden with advice from the London Wildlife Trust and a gardening expert from The Times.) I have twice caught this neighbour and her husband pulling up my plants and damaging my trees. Plus she has photographed my house, and sent a dozen complaints to the Dulwich Estate about my plan to rewild the verge outside my property - approved by the Estate some 4 years ago in line with their stated policy of supporting biodiversity in and around Dulwich. What can I do to introduce these neighbours  to the benefits to us all of returning a portion of our gardens to nature?
