You forgot the no redundancies requirement and insistence to reinstate two employees rightfully suspended ;-)

I think they should get on their collective bike and find alternative employment. Workers rights, what are they thinking of? They'll be wanting time off to die next.

Quite right chick!

Various friends had Fathers who were Printers in Fleet Street and they said it was like a "Holiday Camp" until she ruined at allby forcing only 3 Men to do the work of one Man, it used to be SIX Men b4 she interfered.

Same on The Docks the old Dockers made a good living theiving off their Employers and everybody knew the game. In she came again and reformed The Docks and as for The GLC, under Ken Livingstone, she abolished it, as no-one seemed to do any work, at any time.

She was a ruddy nuisance and she "backed Britain" at every opportunity which upset some of The Liberal locals, I can tell yer...

If Mott The Hoople, The Stones,The Beatles, Bob Dylan or The Faces don't have anything to say on a subject then it's scarcely worth commenting upon.

Although this is Rod Stewart solo. Still, ne'er mind eh.

Wake up Maggie I think I got something to say to you

Its late september and I really should be back at school

I know I keep you amused but I feel Im being used

Oh Maggie I couldnt have tried any more

You lured me away from home just to save you from being alone

You stole my heart and thats what really hurt

The morning sun when its in your face really shows your age

But that dont worry me none in my eyes youre everything

I laughed at all of your jokes my love you didnt need to coax

Oh, Maggie I couldnt have tried any more

You lured me away from home, just to save you from being alone

You stole my soul and thats a pain I can do without

All I needed was a friend to lend a guiding hand

But you turned into a lover and

Mother what a lover, you wore me out

All you did was wreck my bed

And in the morning kick me in the head

Oh Maggie I couldnt have tried anymore

You lured me away from home cause you didnt want to be alone

You stole my heart I couldnt leave you if I tried

I suppose I could collect my books and get on back to school

Or steal my daddys cue and make a living out of playing pool

Or find myself a rock and roll band that needs a helpin hand

Oh Maggie I wish Id never seen your face

You made a first-class fool out of me

But Im as blind as a fool can be

You stole my heart but I love you anyway

Maggie I wish Id never seen your face

Ill get on back home one of these days

Would be a bit of a dinosaur today, but effective in her day.

Cameron, who we will undoubtedly get next is just Blair lite

Backed Britain all the way she did. Did us proud during the Westland affair!

Great days they were; rolling back the human rights of millions of trade unionists - the right to strike, solidarity strikes - destruction of all those mining communities, beefing up the salaries of the police and the army, intensification of the war in the six counties ( leading to greater mainland bombing campaigns by the Republicans against us! ), destruction of the collective, co-operative spirit that had held since before WWII - "They're casting their problem on society. And, you know, there is no such thing as society. There are individual men and women, and there are families." Oh, and of course who can forget the great success of the Poll Tax?

Social unrest, mass unemployment (deliberately engineered); halcyon days, what a legacy, what a Lady....

Are you sure, Santerme? Aesthically unpleasing as a leader of the country. A chubby faced smugster who if he's suddenely catapulted into no 10 will start quoting the Clash's 'Clampdown' "What are we gonna do now..?". Which of course was a quote from Spike Milligan's Q8.

Gordon Brown is the most grumpy-faced f**kster on the planet, and is only worthy of sidekick status.

Nick Clegg? Nick leg? Nickle eg? I've forgotten which party he fronts up. The Vanilla Marginals?

So I suppose it's spoiled ballot paper next time. Or Green for a laugh.

    • Lordship Lane has two dry cleaners, three pizza places and an Italian selling pizza, two burger places, three bakeries, two hardware (ish, I'm thinking AJ Farmer here), God knows how many coffee and charity shops, two Italians, three nail salons, five wine shops... Where was the abject outrage when Dynamic Vines opened up literally next door to Cave de Bruno? But I don't see his customers decamped next door - no, those stalwarts are still out in force every night.  In Roman times all businesses were clustered by product. It's what kept prices down. Same in any market you go to abroad, they're all selling the same things next to each other.  Why is everyone being so hard on this new place? It's called healthy competition - you can't curtail the expansion of your business on the basis you that might hurt someone else's.
    • I have a new fixation so any available, please let me know.  Thanks.
    • In restaurant terms I would say a chain manifests when the motivation is no longer “we are a couple/small group who have an idea and love food” who open a restaurant, them another and then a few more BUT THEN PIVOT to “we need capital to rollout out new restaurants so we have leveraged the help of the following investors”  that is the moment it stops being about the chef/food on the plate and becomes about the spreadsheet  so it is POSSIBLE  for a restaurant to have 50 branches and not be a chain - but I can’t think of any  I don’t know chango - by based on the number of outlets they appear to have just crossed/or are about to cross that line
