And Rip did the business to win the Juddmonte - delivered late to win on the line - excellent race, very good horse.

Rip wins Juddmonte - Tuesday

Rip rides again on Saturday.

But is odds on - I can't back him at odds on despite him being my fav horse, Twice Over is surely the value bet at > 3/1 as they were very close at York. But I can''t back against Rip.

If I back Rip, it has got to be big...... courage.

I just heard Ronnie O'Sullivan being interviewed after making a 147 break in the World Open. He wasn't going to bother pot the last black as it was ONLY worth ?4k for a maximum break. He had to be persuaded by the ref to finish it off. Imagine if you had a bet on his making a 147 break. I think the guy is seriously screwed up.

    • This link.provides the full.articke using an archive site  https://archive.is/J8DvF The summary is that the taxes on electricity could be removed but an equivalent levy would then be added to gas to encourage people tonusevheat pumps.  Not convinced it would stay like that but it isn't quite as sensational as the headlines

    • No, you didn’t write the article. But unless you’re a Telegraph subscriber, you haven’t read the article either. Have you read it? The psychopath Telegraph lives behind a (rubber) paywall but using this kind of sensationalist, accusatory headline gets it traction on social media. The headline becomes more important than the article; many will see it and some will take it as a statement of fact. And it will be shown on endless “let’s take a look at the papers” segments on TV and radio for 12 hours or more in every news day. And so, a tiny number of reactionary, right wing hacks has a vastly disproportionate influence on the popular conversation despite the papers they work for being bought by almost nobody these days.
