Federer is a good player... a great player... but I just don't like the guy.

People say he's humble, but he really isn't. He says "I'm not playing tennis to break records", but then seconds later turns up with a jacket with "15" written on it. As if his various ridiculous outfits and "RF" embroidered gear isn't irritating enough.

Having a special jacket prepared for when you win, just to show everyone how great you are... it's all a bit vulgar. And yeah, his walk-on outfits are laughable. Some people say that it's due to sponsorship obligations, but I don't remember anyone else walking on in a white 3-piece suit with their initials on it.

I bet he has pyjamas with a picture of his face on the front, and a caption saying "Roger's the greatest". Perhaps a crossed-rackets (racquets?) motif on the back, with his signature beneath it (in gold).

Dress sense apart I believe Roger is the personification nae embodiment of the perfect Sporstman.

Excellent at his Sport, a great communicator and a tremendously nice Guy, as well.

Modest, humble, successful thats more than enough for some to dislike him.

An absolute credit to his Sport.

    • To be fair, a pot of tea for one in a department store is a small pot, and you only get one cup or mug!
    • I know - we have been here lots of times since it first opened,  which is why we were disappointed that it was closed at a time it was supposed to be open, but with no notice to say why! I guess we will just  have to ask the reason at our next visit, but I'm not sure we will risk Saturday lunchtime again unless we find the closure  was an unavoidable one off ....
    • Nope. I don’t have this wrong. I’ve tried to put my point across respectfully, without resorting to personal, angry insults. And all my colleagues agree that the BBC got this right in its condemnation.    All you see is confirmation bias.    If you don’t realise that, then you’re part of the problem.
    • We have always gone during the week at lunch time - great place and good value. Husband has been several times on his own and owner knows his first name. I could not go one time for some reason and she sent him home with some spring rolls (free)
