Lack of choice at Picturehouse

Have any people with complaints thought of giving their feedback to the ED Picturehouse? Three benefits: 1) person raising issue gets a response then and there. 2) Picturehouse is aware of views of audience and if enough people express similar views they will take action to resolve. 3) No more threads on here!

It's 8.15 am and I would like to see a film at the cinema now but the ED Picture House isn't open. Why not? It's totally unacceptable and I'm going to make a complaint.

Seventeen screens makes it the largest mass market Vue in London and one of the best equipped but inconveniently you'll have to drive to Shepherds Bush.

The prices? ?11.79 to ?13.29 for adults at peak times.

You wouldn't have to drive to Shepherds Bush. Overground from Denmark Hill to Clapham Junction, and from there Overground to Shepherds Bush.

I must make it clear that I LOVE the Picture house and see it as a great asset to the area.

My point really was that I don't think they rotate their movies enough.

And I also find it sad that some of the more 'niche' films like Dior and I for instance seem to only get shown as matinee's which exclude us full time workers.

It would be fabulous if there was one evening a week dedicated to more niche or arthouse films.

Thats a matter of opinion.

But to back up my initial post, a movie I and my friends want to see Iris-which comes into the Niche category starts this Thursday but its latest screening is 6.30pm apart from one evening when there is a later showing.

My understanding is that the Picturehouse chain offers more than the standard 'ODEON' blockbusters however at the risk of repeating myself when they do go a bit off piste the showings are very limited .

Just saw Amy at the picturehouse and it was packed. I can't remember the last time I went to see a film and it was that busy. That's why Amy is still on.

I thought the PictureHouse was great. Very well re-furbished, lovely bar area, plenty of leg room. There are three screens. In Crustal Palace they are campaigning for a cinema.

We should be grateful.

The Confesssions of Thomas Quick is in at ED Picturehouse on Saturay 15th - it' a good film even if I do say so myself ( I'm the producer!) Please support it! Thnaks
