Yet you seem to have a liking for an animal that will sniff every other dogs arses and then come lick your face....

I suspect Spacey my cat read the article and laughed her feline laugh to herself this morning.

She trained me years ago to get the food out a few minutes before she needs it, thus she'd never wake me up.

She never dug tunnels behind the sofa till she saw Eddie Izzard's routine about it.

Then she would sit behind me, purring and digging, purring and digging.

However, in the last two months we have had scaffolding around our block and as we are on the 3rd of 4th floors, and as she normally never goes out because she is literally a scaredy-cat, she has learned she can go out safely, walk around the boards and come back. I am thinking of tying a webcam to her. A few nights ago I heard a very unfamiliar meowing, and got up realising she was not with me. I went out to the balcony and called her name and she came running back towards me. But she was upstairs. She had taught herself to climb the scaffolding ladder but claimed she was too nervous to try climbing down.

Out I went, up the ladder I went, and rescued her and brought her down. Four in the morning.

But that type of meowing was new to me, and I am quite impressed she did it, though I bet she can climb down ladders.

"but claimed she was too nervous to try climbing down."

Utter rubbish, and I'll point out why using your own words: "Out I went, up the ladder I went, and rescued her and brought her down. Four in the morning. "

Yep, she did it for a laugh and was only pretending she couldn't climb down!

"though I bet she can climb down ladders." <- you got that right - you fell for it hook, line and sinker!!

:))

Kel, I take it you have cats.

Cats are treacherous and sinister creatures who have servants not owners. If you were to die of a heart attack they'd eventually eat you. A cat doesn't find a home, they target their prospective staff over a prolonged period of calculated surveillance to ensure that they get the best deal out of their hapless marks.

I don't like cats and they don't like me.

I also own a crossbow.

    • Sure - but to describe one councillor's hissy fit as a "fury" unrivalled by hell is a bit of an overstatement. Cllr Barber's attempt to hijack the moment by blaming austerity on Labour instead of the Lib Dem-Tory coalition is an amusing fumble too. It would have been better to keep quiet and enjoy the spectacle of Labour and ex-Labour councillors bickering. Labour is well-known for its ability to sustain internal catfights for years, if not decades!
    • Yes,  but as you said "at last" you had found a good reason not to vote for the greens, I wondered why you would want one. Plus it seemed (to me, at least) a very strange reason and didn't seem to have anything to do with the party's policies.
    • I also had a good experience with Andy, he was quick to respond and came out to resolve the issue at short notice. He was friendly and worked hard to find a solution to the problem with my tap which is now working like new again.
    • No, I clearly quoted you in my response; did you miss that? It’s obviously AI generated: any reasonable human being would be too ashamed to spin such arrant twadle.
