Back in 2002 on a wild weekend in Dublin I briefly met the camp music mogul Louis Walsh at the Morrisson Hotel who in turn introduced me to a girlfriend of his that my hotel security guard later referred to as a "knacker". She ended up naked on our roof terrace overlooking the Liffey shouting "get on with it!" and left 4 hours later with my wallet but leaving behind her shoes.

All I recall is the butterfly tattoo on her right buttock.

I have 5 tattoos and I love each 1 for the story behind it. Unfortunately some will get a tattoo to accessorize, not good. They are permanant and need to be well thought through, because they are part of you. I had my last 1 in March on my foot of a rosary, because I have been going through a tough time with my MSc and kept telling myself to keep the faith, so I have and everytime I look at my foot I remind myself how sheer bloody minded I am and I passed my first year. First tat was when I married my Andrew, Second one when we opened the shop, third one of my heritage, Italian and Spanish flag, fourth one of the third eye for protection when I was going through a very difficult time. I am proud of my tattoos.

I decided at 16 I wanted a tattoo. low and behold aged 36 and still can't decide what I want!

Mrs B has a few and the last took many hours and takes up about half of her back. All hers represent and have meaning.

Surely the point to tattoos is that we are not given the choice as to how our body looks... yes we can exercise and eat correctly (or chose not to) But my nose really isn't going to get any smaller. So why not make a mark that I have chosen and I like? That doesn't mean to say anyone makes the right choice... most don't admittedly.

I have a friend who nearly has a complete body suit now. It's taken her years and openly admits that she couldn't ever stop to think why she has done it..... she'd probably lose it... obligatory flesh tunnels to boot.

Probably one of the best around.

That pretty much sums up what i just don't get: I mean, having something that you really want on your body is one thing, to just want something but to have no idea what makes very little sense in my head.

I love the way that some have justified getting tattoos by claiming that they have personal meaning. Wouldn't the same image in a book or in a picture on the wall would have the same meaning? I really like some tattoos, but pretty much detest others. Often it correlates with the atractiveness of the person thus tattooed.

In contrast to that I used to employ a decorator "Tattoo Dave" I loved him in the way he was matter of fact about his Tatt's.

On the odd rainy day if we were rained off he'd occasionally sit there " Right,if we cant work this afternoon I'm getting a Tatt done" like it was a way to kill the boredom. Sometimes we'd get him to take his shirt off and give us a guided tour.

I even watched him have "I'm only here for the beer " round his navel done in Camden just because he thought it was alright at that moment and cheap. He was covered in ad hoc designs, each had a story & most truth be told were pretty rubbish , some you just thought "why" but they were there & I was fascinated. I called him our walking art gallery , my clients were mostly a little shocked when they first met him but once they got to know him they were fascinated to see his gallery. Some of the ladies who lunch clients took quite a shine to him & he was fit as a fiddle but they certainly liked the whole thing, Tatt's , bald head, the teeth & piercing in a weird way.

    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
    • Can’t imagine what it must be like you have your doorbell rung harshly.
