woofmarkthedog
I've been thinking ( yes me, oh joy ) this for a while.Other peoples words & phrases stand out so much sometimes we find ourselves adopting them or they evoke a particular place & personFor example Keef wrote- and the soundtrack is brill (on the feel good movie thread) Brill is a great word, so 80's and so ready for a revival. Well done Keef !My mum used to say "I should co-co" if you pushed your luck a bit too far, where did that come from ?W**F Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7426-adopted-words-phrases/ Share on other sites
????
I think 'co-co' is just a straighrforward malaporism-thingy of 'say so' Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7426-adopted-words-phrases/#findComment-235084 Share on other sites

bigbadwolf
I heard that a lot as well Jah. The neighbours would often have to put up with the succession of "swish", "thwack" and me howling my head off. I would then hear the dreaded Dettol bath being run. HonaloochieB
I know this is OT but I often put half a cap of Dettol in my bath.Combined with the Tidman's Sea Salt and Wrights coal tar soap you'll find me stooging about the manor smelling like a 1940s Yorkshire millhand. And right gradely I feel too.
