My interpretation is that Honaloochie said "Wat Graham26 sed"... people thought this was a pun, because a watt is a unit of power (but not a "wat", I don't know what that is).


Actually a whole load of electricity related puns just popped into my head, but I'll spare you for now...

You know what you are doing? You are giving them the chance to come up smelling of roses. If this PR woman had any savyy (and being in her particular job, I bet she's pretty good) she'll spin it, roll it out, get some media coverage and noone in the wider world will be wiser that it all started off as a complaint against it on the EDF. It'll look like a major initiative to help the environment. Bravo!

funny you should say that - I had a reporter contact me from the South London Press about wanting to do a story on this...so as you say Nero - from small acorns and all that - it will be interesting to see comes of this. Lets wait and see what happens next week...

If it means that they turn off the lights and the tvs then does it matter? It'll take a lot more that a PR offensive about correcting poor environmental behaviour for Foxtons to come up smelling of roses.

Fuse two don't power yourselves a stiff drink and go back over the thread and figure it out, I might take to my bed faraday.

computedshorty - She'd only be wasting energy if she put more water in the kettle than she actually needed for her cuppa. In fact, the use of a flask could be considered the bigger waste of energy as that flask had to be made....AND the water boiled.


Good news that the lights are off....were they all off or just the office lights, with the signs left on?

ALL lights were off - apart from the fridge light at the front. We need to keep an eye out to see whether this was a one-off accident or something more permanent.

      Years ago, I adopted a moggie from Battersea… thought it was 6:7 but was actually 10… great mog though… no checks at all as in home check.. spoke to me about cat ownership, had several before, paid my money and off we went. I do get what they are trying to do totally and agree.. having said that, RSPCA think that is the one, Near cemetery in Norwood, until last year was offering free microchipping & s’thing else… Realistically, really is a drop in the ocean as more cats in London and surrounds… was just totally surprised as to the amount and obv each area is different ….

When you've experienced it first hand, you don't forget and get ready for the next time, then call it out, they don't like that.  They don't appreciate that being part British having been born here but as I also have  continental ancestry, which I am proud off, it gives me a different perspective of living amongst the natives here, so I can not, nor do I ever want to be a native here. I am me and they are what they are.

      Are parcels for EVRi now being accepted at East Dulwich post office? On Monday I tried to return something there but, because Evri hadn’t collected  all the returns from the previous day, there was no space for any more and I had a wasted journey 😤

      It’s allowed. Just weirdly unnecessary.  Surely easy enough for a native like yourself  or do we  foreigners have to teach ye everything?
