SteveT
I guess radio2 will have to do without my company in the am if the ginger one takes his place.Who would you put there, if you had a magic wand?Stephen FryAled Jones Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7869-who-would-you-put-in-place-of-wogan/ Share on other sites
indiepanda
I'd pick Danny Wallace - someone cheerful for the mornings. Or put Mark and Lard back in the morning - I enjoyed their morning slot on Radio 1 - they used to play my kind of music as well as being quite funny. ????
Wny not Chris Evans? Decent broadcaster, 43 so right age (Wogan was in his 30s when he started) high enough profile...don't see the problem Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7869-who-would-you-put-in-place-of-wogan/#findComment-245116 Share on other sites
Nero
Marc Riley or Mark Radcliffe Liza Tarbuck Paul O Grady Jeremy Vine (?) Evans is the obvious choice but I don't think he'll be that good. He's too manic and doesn't seem to have matured that much professionally. bigbadwolf
Wogan is a legend in his own trousers. No one should replace him.If I were to be haunted I'd want Wogan's ghost! *Bob*
Based on experience and personality it ought to be Jasper Carrott. Or Stephen Hawking. Come to think of it I think they could work well together. Tony.London Suburbs
Why not EDF's own Ted Max?He's young, charming as well as, obviously, funny and polite and he would have anyones "arse on a plate" the moment that they stepped out of line. The poetry would be worth the Licence Fee alone ....
