ooh, couldn't resist!I know it's a bit of an oldie, but it's certainly a goodie!

Mr Buttons has had to go up the loft today to find my nice warm woolly with the pictures of the dogs on it.It's a bit mothbally tho but I'll put it through on a hot wash with extra Surf, no harm done!

I don't know why, but I really like you Petunia. Whenever I see your posts I can't but help think of Julie Andrews singing "My Favorite Things".

I hate to be presumptuous but I can't help picture you as;

I put it that Peter....Sorry Peculiar Buttons ain't quite whot you may think.

I submit for your perusal.

Exhibit A

> Julie Andrews oh dear me no. Mind you people did used to say I had a look of a young Merle Oberon about me... A "woman" who can cook chops but puts a wollen on a hot wash with EXTRA surf & then says "no harm done"

See I'm a bit of a fabric queen and those who really do the laundry will back me up, follow PB's advise and your woolen knit wear will turn out like a doormat. Unless she wears pure unadulterated acrylic knits, can't see it though if the "Gal got class"

BBW, curb yourself, to even suggest that PetButt smells of Lynx and recently ingested bacon sandwiches is borderline caddish.

Oh, dear, you are a lot of funny folk on here!!

Whenever I do me little bits of writing on here- I like to think of it as doing a sort of free postcard, if you like- you youngsters always come on and start saying I'm someone else, especially Ted and Max! Well, if you could only see us now, me and Mr B are sitting here with the tears rolling down our faces!!

As if someone would come on here and pretend to be a lady of a certain age, happily married and living in Nunhead!I mean, it's a nice life and all, but it's hardly Harrold Robbins now, is it?

I'm a bit puzzled by it, to tell you the truth, cos I never get this on moneysavingexpert. Or on the Grans bit of that Mums Net (mind you I don't go on there too often. I'm telling you, some of the language those "ladies" use would make a whore blush!)

Anyway, I'm off to me sister in law's at the sheltered for lotto night. To tell you the truth, the lotto ain't all that, but we call it "lucky dip" night. While the warden's got her back turned, going round collecting up the big pens and the cards, we all put our unwanted medications in the lotto bag, give em a shake to mix em up nice and then pick one out each. You should try it, it's ever such fun! You never know what you're going to end up with!

Anyway nighty night all...and remember-if you like it, try it-if you don't like it, try it- you might like it!

I think that settles it, PetButt is either Jimmy Tarbuck or Jim Bowen.

    • Well according to a newspaper article, Gail’s is opening 10 shops in London,,, yup Dulwich is named 10/5 I seem to recall with others in London opening at 7 am…!, Guess that is to capture workers coming off all night shift. Offering free mince pies until they run out.. So very sad to hear about Romeo Jones… been a customer since the opening, any idea where Patrick has gone or details… please pm me.    What is going to be in its place…. Will be around in Jan…umm village is changing….
    • interesting the police said "the car was in demand at the moment" what make/model is that?
    • Just be careful to know exactly what they cover and the limits. i use Many Pets and Medivet, as I think one of the vets is exceptionally good. Some of the NHV are, but I’ve had a couple I’ve not liked at all.  I need consistency and to feel that they actually care more about the animals than the money.
    • I haven't used them myself but I noticed recently that "Snoots" in Forest Hill is going unlimited primary care for £33/month, so basically a subscription. Easy access on the 176 from East Dulwich. I have no idea what it includes so read the contract! It's a chain but only 5 branches so not a mega corporate. 🤷‍♂️ https://www.snootsvet.com/find-us
