From the racket outside just now we just had the noisy "pleasure" of their company down Ondine Rd. Cannot believe how loud it was! Couldn't go look as trying to feed the baby and hoping it wouldn't wake everyone!!

I seriously thought a plane was coming down over my house. Then I remembered the bike gang from a few weeks back and shifted the blame on them. All fine if riding safely but judging by the videos on Twitter it's all pretty reckless!

Think thats last years, so am waiting for this years footage. Do you think they did more than 20mph on Barry Rd i wonder....The tinker man must be spinning in his dinner jacket! And Plod coundnt do anything yet again-where were the hoardes that closed Grove Vale the other day? Still I think I am now in favour of gating melbourne grove if it kerps that lot out lol

      Yes, they should clearly have been more honest on taxes before the election and not backed themselves into a corner. After 14 years of mismanagement and decline, they have to invest and at the same time start to bring borrowing down (otherwise they continues to be at the mercy of the bond markets). Continued cuts / degrading of public services tis counter productive (a successful economy and society needs good infrastructure, education and health care).  The single biggest thing they could do to immediately improve growth would be to rejoin the single market, but I appreciate that is difficult politically.  So if you can't significantly boost growth short term, can't cut too much further, and need to raise money, that only really leaves taxation.
