Whatever happened the idea that if you complain about the service in an establishment they take legal action against you doesn't make me rush to go in there.

But if the OP is ignoring the manager's emails and just repeatedly posting on here that is also very odd.

Two sides to every story..

Wow! Agree with hellosailor that there are two sides to every story and would be good to hear Patrick's. Perhaps as smallish caf? they don't want customers hogging tables and there was a big group of high spending people waiting to get in?

But, threatening legal action for a complaining post (whether justified or not) is totally over the top and appalling customer relations. I certainly don't want to go there and will point out the caf? to visitors as the establishment where the owner threatened legal action against an unhappy custom in a public forum (I think that is factual so I am safe from legal threats! )

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
    • Was anyone else disturbed last night/early hours this morning by the party going on in someone’s garden on Crystal Palace road. Can’t see what house exactly but it’s around number 43 - 41… it was happening quite frequently last year. Seems it’s starting again! Very inconsiderate.
