Thai Duck pop up

Just wanted to post a HUGE recommendation for the Thai Duck pop up restaurant at the Duck Egg Cafe on North Cross Road. We had a take away from there this evening (menu on their Facebook page) which was delicious, you can eat in too. The lady is delightful, and the food was so tasty - enjoy!

Finally got round to checking out Thai Duck tonight. Really delicious, ridiculously cheap, definitely the best Thai in the area. Seemed cruel that it was virtually empty while Thai Corner Cafe was heaving. They deserve to be doing really well.

Please try this place out. If we don't use it, we may lose it...

Just Fridays and Saturdays. It is BYO and they didn't charge us corkage.

We had sea bass and chicken wing starters, veg pad Thai, prawn green curry, pak choy and sticky rice. All for just over ?30. Can't pick a highlight because it was ALL so good...

Went there last night and it is one of the more authentic thai restaurants around London. Small menu but all dishes were very good. Highly recommended. Much much better than Thai Corner Cafe.

If anyone wants to try some very good thai, follow Tem Ban. Very good food and they do pop ups around London. They were recently at Brockwell Lido and Sydenham. Not sure where they are now.

Sadly that wouldn't be hard, from my (admittedly limited as I was so put off I stopped going) experience.

It started off relatively well then seemed to go downhill.

Another glowing recommendation, based on our first visit this evening.

Delicious meal-honestly couldn't fault it, wonderful atmosphere and warm and attentive service. What a wonderful addition to the area.

Can't believe we haven't tried this place sooner- will definitely be back!

    • What a bunch of pieholes. 2025 and you peasants have nothing to be grateful for. I have been inside the library recently and honestly the old girl is crying for a facelift, the goddamn carpet looks like it survived the world war and some. The Library is one of the oldest in Southwark and you are crying about a study place? What a bunch of bullshit. You have libraries all around you for your kids to go their studying you rotten sausage. How about be happy that the library is going to look absolutely stunning rather than be a whining bitch about it   Also, I have been told that the staffs have to work in the smaller libraries together. How do you think they feel?
    • I would like to recommend Aaron, who has just finished 5 days plastering work in my house. He is professional , polite, tidy, punctual and reliable. He did a fantastic job, a good price and a top quality finish. Highly recommended! Aaron Manser 07773 410661
    • Sadly, but not unreasonably, councils find it difficult to justify such expenditure on their current budgets. My family, which does like fireworks have been enjoying the displays by those still with disposable wealth by viewing them from Hilly Fields. Other hills (Dawson Heights) are available. For children who have autumn and winter birthdays, a firework display is some consolation for their birthday climate. My grandchildren, being summer babies, can enjoy garden parties and picnics. Without the need for explosions and dazzling display.
