This parade had better not cause too much disruption. If I cant find a parking space when I come back from the supermarket on Saturday, I will not be amused. THings were bad enough round here on Tuesday night when there was some kind of x mas related event on in dulwich village. I dread to think whats gonna happen with this ludicrous 'parade'.

Well...you've had much more pressing things to deal with...I was just standing in for you!...(*giggles mischievously*)...congrats by the way...hope Mrs ???? and the sixpence are well.

Now to get back on topic...am really looking to meeting Doris the Donkey and who will be pulling her. Should be a fun day out for everyone...except for those who want to go shopping that is...

Hi All

If you are making plans around the Christmas period, highlight the 19th December on your calenders. Santa's Christmas parade will be in Dulwich, 12pm onwards. Park Hall Road, West Dulwich will host Santa at 12pm, bring the Children along and Wish Santa a merry Christmas.

Then join Santa at 3pm for the parade, he will meet you at the corner of Townley Road and Lordship Lane, where mums, dads, grandma and grandad can join in the fun. We encourage the children come along in fancy dress, Princesses, Pirates and Angels are all welcome. Santa and his helpers Hannah and Marilyn will then parade down lordship lane towards Santa,s Grotto in Zenoria Street, where you can greet Santa

(The parade will also be escorted by the Local police for Safety reasons)Santa and his helpers are CRB checked

This post will be constantly updated throughout November up to the 18th December( Just in case Santa is late, Lapland is quite far)

Santa's parade and supporting events are sponsored by the Retailers of West and East Dulwich. Panino d'oro and Harvey Wheeler from the village. Wishing you all a peaceful Christmas/Holidays/Yule from us.

Hi All just an update for the parade, due to poor weather conditions in Essex where Doris the donkey lives, they now cannot make it. We were told Today at 1pm, so we have not been able to find a replacement for the donkey, however the parade will still go ahead with alternative mode of transport for Santa.

So to the Children, mummies, daddies Grandads and Grandmas, we hope to see you from 230pm onwards at the Townley Road/Lordship Lane Junction. We are going to have a warm up with dancing before the parade starts, so please wear comfy warm dancing shoes

Apologies about Doris but Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans, if you have any questions, I am the one wearing the Snow White outfit and my dear friend Hannah will be dressed as an Angel.

    • I can't answer your question. But on them generally: it's changed hands in the last year or so, I think. I paid £35 for interior and exterior and they did a crap job. I'll go to the one on Herne Hill (or just do it myself if health allows) next time.
    • Aria came round to fix my tub drain when I'd messed up the seal. Came within hours, fixed the tub, and ran a bath to make sure it was okay. Here's where the fun starts. While he was over, I asked him questions about the rest of the plumbing round the house. I had just moved into a Victorian home that was previously being rented. Unsurprisingly, we found another leak in the tub and a drip in the kitchen tap.  He came back the next day to put a better pipe in my bathtub and replace the kitchen sink. Painstakingly figured out how to replace the hard-to-access kitchen sink without cutting through the wood panel with the help of his builder friend, Mark. Answered all my questions and clearly knew his stuff. All this right before Christmas holidays!
    • Was that the one where you put a coin in and it squirted water at you? what was the name of the one in hanway street - whatever you ordered it came on a segmented tray like you get in prison (I imagine). Prices were a steal.
