Toto, I have the feeling we're not in Kansas anymore

Recommended Posts

Now come on Giggi, you're just using the weather/Oz motif to introduce us to your latest footwear acquisition.

Ruby red? Are the heels 'clickable'? Do you start out wearing them in one place, end up in another and not know how you got there? With three of the campest blokes imaginable?

Congratulations, it's you sporting the Laboutins in Soho House with Prince, Mick Jagger and Michael Gove.

I'm so busted - red shoes are my favourites. How can anyone not love red shoes!

Unfortunately I stubbed my toe today on the way to the gym so I'm hobbling around and my footwear this evening is aesthetically challenged to say the least.

Oh SEQUINED red shoes of course but, yes red all the way

Oh my god, our house can WHISTLE! This is the first storm I've experienced in our new house, so it was all pretty new to me!! Just glad I wasn't out there - I feel sorry for whoever & whatever was! I have been out in one of these before & I'm not joking when I say it lifted me up a little & almost blew me away! I was TERRIFIED.
Agreed quids - I ended up walking back from teh lane with 6 bags of shopping and a bay tree under my arm which was not helped by the wind, but it wasn't freakish weaher by any means - perhaps some peolpe are subterraneans and aren't used to it ;-)

    • Anyone upgraded their TV for Christmas?! I'm looking for a smallish Smart TV I can use with earbuds. Not more than 56cm high and  25cm deep. A 26" one used to fit.  Thanks!
    • It wasn't an antique and bric-a-bac shop but an antique market with a number of different traders, the cafe supported all the dealers in bringing in custom, and was good enough to generate trade for them. It was Rodney Franklin's and his partners enterprise, he previously had an antique shop in Queenstown Road in Battersea. His late wife ran the cafe (she was a very fine actress, it was a 'resting' job).  It was on the corner of a junction on the left as you head towards Camberwell. And almost opposite, if memory serves at all, an MFI style furniture outlet.
    • i used to go there in the late 80's and '90s (?) the food was served cafeteria style and there was limited choice, but what there was alays tasted amazing!  The garden was an absolute paradise, you could sit in it to lunch in the summer!  i've tried to locate its site but Walworth Road has changed so much since then - does anyone remember the house number?
    • This is very true. For some people, not even just the elderly, their pet/s may be their most important companion.
