giggirl
Dear Lord I think my house might have blowed away. I'm scared to open the front door in case I see the yellow brick road. Is there anyone alive out there ED? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8630-toto-i-have-the-feeling-were-not-in-kansas-anymore/ Share on other sites

HonaloochieB
Now come on Giggi, you're just using the weather/Oz motif to introduce us to your latest footwear acquisition.Ruby red? Are the heels 'clickable'? Do you start out wearing them in one place, end up in another and not know how you got there? With three of the campest blokes imaginable?Congratulations, it's you sporting the Laboutins in Soho House with Prince, Mick Jagger and Michael Gove. giggirl
I'm so busted - red shoes are my favourites. How can anyone not love red shoes!Unfortunately I stubbed my toe today on the way to the gym so I'm hobbling around and my footwear this evening is aesthetically challenged to say the least. Just glad I wasn't out there - I feel sorry for whoever & whatever was! I have been out in one of these before & I'm not joking when I say it lifted me up a little & almost blew me away! I was TERRIFIED. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8630-toto-i-have-the-feeling-were-not-in-kansas-anymore/#findComment-263488 Share on other sites

SteveT
It's coming back on Wednesday. Big winds and bad weather, as we are in the 'eye' of the hurricane. ????
It really wasn't that bad was it? Just a winter storm - the BBC just issue a servere weather warning when you get anything that deviates from the norm nowadays. We live in a hyperbolic media world now - see swine flu etc Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8630-toto-i-have-the-feeling-were-not-in-kansas-anymore/#findComment-263797 Share on other sites
SeanMacGabhann
Agreed quids - I ended up walking back from teh lane with 6 bags of shopping and a bay tree under my arm which was not helped by the wind, but it wasn't freakish weaher by any means - perhaps some peolpe are subterraneans and aren't used to it ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8630-toto-i-have-the-feeling-were-not-in-kansas-anymore/#findComment-263803 Share on other sites

Keef
To be fair, I never saw any scare mongering reports, just heard we were going to have strong winds, which we did. After the whole Michael Fish thing in '87, I guess they're keen to cover themselves.
